Traffic Committee Meeting

The Traffic Committee will convene in the Weaver Street Fire House.
Business Items:
1. Crest Avenue -Sign Request
The Traffic Committee discussed the item and referenced the stop sign. Lt. Hollywood
had the resident cut trees to improve visibility. The Traffic Committee gave no
recommendations on changing signage on Crest Avenue.
2. Iselin Terrace -Sign Request
The Traffic Committee reviewed and discussed the item. They believed there is
enough visibility.
Karen Regan addressed the Traffic Committee. She described the issue of making a
right turn onto Iselin Terrace. Lt. Hollywood informed her to call her the Police after
every incident.
3. Madison Avenue -Sign Request
The Traffic Committee discussed the issue with Lt. Hollywood and Ralph Engel. The
Traffic Committee recommended erecting a sign. Mr. Engel commented that a sign
has been erected since the issue was first submitted. Lt. Hollywood also said he
would have a tree trimmed to increase visibility.
4. Boston Post Road -Sign Request
The Traffic Committee and Mr. Engel discussed the sign request. A"No Standing"
sign will be erected.
Mr. Engel addressed the committee further regarding a developer's claim that people
could park in a certain area of Boston Post Road. He claims this is not the case and
would like signs informing people of the no parking regulation. Lt. Hollywood agreed
with the suggested signs. Other complexes with on-site parking were discussed.
The Traffic Committee and Mr. Engel then discussed the visitor parking in the
proposed complex. He would like recommendation on requiring the increase of visitor

parking. Mr. Blaufarb is concerned that over time more parking will be needed.
5. Other Business
The Traffic Committee discussed the accident in Village of Mamaroneck and what
they could do to make school areas safer, handicap spaces, and a proposed
crosswalk near Leathstocking Trail.
Mr. Wrzesniewsky discussed an issue of parents parking in Trader's Joe's and Stop
and Shop's parking lots and taking a cut through to the school.
Ms. Katz and Lt. Hollywood discussed police rotations around schools. Police try to
cover every school with drop off/pick up but are mostly assigned to tasks when
issues arise. The Traffic Committee discussed issues with the school.
