Business Agenda:
1. Harrison Drive
Karen Regan addressed the Traffic Committee. She states Harrison Drive has
become extremely busy and traffic has increased over the past few years. Ms. Regan
said the road should have a lower speed limit because of the sharp curves. She would
like signage and a diagram for motorists. She described signage that the Village of
Larchmont placed to help assuage traffic. Ms. Katz and Mr. Wasp discussed the state
speed limit regulations. She stated it seems that the state is allowing municipalities to
lower the speed limit. He said there is no curve warning in the approach to the curve
and signage should be installed. Another resident believes that Town residents are
the ones speeding on the road. The Traffic Committee and Ms. Regan discussed
what Village of Larchmont is doing for speeding. Chair Block would like to install the
curve sign but would like to wait to lower the speed limit until they see what Village of
Larchmont is doing.
2. Hommocks Road
The Traffic Committee discussed the issues listed in the request form. Crosswalks in
the area were reviewed along with possible crosswalks and signage. Mr. Wasp
agreed the signage needs to be placed. Roads with intersections should have
crosswalks and it was determined that crosswalks can be installed mid block. He
described signage that would be installed.
The Traffic Committee reviewed line of sight issues. Lt. Hollywood agreed with line of
sight issues and consulted the Building Department Code Enforcement. Code
Enforcement doesn't believe there is a code issue, but will check again in the spring.
Chair Block wants input from the school for speed humps. Mr. Wasp commented

humps.

Place to make a left on Weaver Street.
