The meeting :gas called to order by Suyoerviser Burton at 12015 P. Y_ Present: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Collins, Leeds and Yessersmith loan Clerk Liarvi_u The Clerk informed the Board that a resolution was necessary authorizing the installation of 5 inch water main on Stoneyside Drive in place of the existing two inch main including one hydrant. After discussion it was upon motion by Justice Yessersmith seconded by the Clerk upon roll call unanimously ESOLI'�I�, ,lIiE'�AS this Board requests the installation of 2455 feet. of 6 inch ester vain on Stoneyside Drive, from the end of the existing pipe to Rockland Avenue,. on Hulberry Lane from Stoneyside Drive to Fast Garden Road, on Fast Garden Road from Ellsworth Avenue to Ilulberry Lane, on Grey— stone Road from Stoneyside Drive to Last Garden Road, together with three hydrants along said extensions, therefore be it IESOLVBD, that the `Iestahester Joint 'eater Workz, Noe. 1, be and it hereby is authorized and directed to install for the Town of - Mamaroneck said main and hydrants and to crarge the Torn of Mamaroneck the actual cost tnereof .as ascertained and approved by the Board of Trustees of said 'destchester Joint VIater `.Tozks, No. 1. Tustice Leeds inquired what was being done in regard to house connections, curb boxes and appurtenances thereta for the utilities on Yurray Avenue. after discussion the matter was unanimously re_erreo to Sazperintendent Coles with power. The Supervisor informed the Board that the services of an Inspector ,.could be needed for the Dlurra,y Avenue improvement and upon motion by Justice Boyd, seceded by Justice Ifessersmi 4h, it was upon roll cal? unanisreusly RESOLVED, that the question of the appointment of an inspector for the Murray Avenue irnjorove-meat, be referred to the Supervisor and Superintendent Coles with power. The Clerk reported that he had been rea:_ested by ;r . Tames Proctor of 18*9 `.'leaser Street to inquire if the To,.:, ,could not take some action in regard to a large tree situated on-Town property in front of his house, t,;,hich tree he said, was split and in a dangerous condition and should be removed. Auer discussion the matte was unanimously referred to Superintendent Coles .r?th pourer. The Clerk presented a copy of a letter addressed. to FIngineer A. J. Foote by Charles T.EacDonald, Country Engineer. The letter was ordered received, placed on file and spread upon the minutes as foll=.Z.. �I 24 July 24, 1930 "Mr. A. J. Foote Hillside Arcade Darchmont, X. Y. Dear Yr. Foote.- _ This will acknovaledge yours of July 22, enclosing final estimate issued to Malloy Bros., for work of constructing sidewalks, walls, etc., on Weaver Street. r have approved this final estimate and am returning one copy signed, for your uses i want to take this occasion to compliment you upon the class of work accomplished in this Contract. it is 'an emcellent job and Z am sure the property owners along the street are well satisfied with it. Very truly yours (signed) Charles Mac Donald County .Engineer A claim was received from Engineer L. J. Foote in the amount cf �1,68Q.79 far services rendered the Town. of Mamaroneck in connection with monumenting the tovm boundary line. The work was done during the period of November 1928 to December 1929. The Supervisor said that this work had heretofore been authorized at the request of the Board of Assessors and that the matter had been referred to hire. He added that the boundary line as monumented by Mr. Foote was identical to that laid out by K-. Van Ztten of the City of New Rochelle. Upon motion by Justice Xessersmith, seconded by the Clerk, it was upon roll call unanimously RESOLVED, that the claim of A. J. Foote Engin- eering Company in the amount of X1,684.79 for services rendered the Town of Hamaroneck in connection with monumenting the Town boundary line be and it hereby is approved and that the same be paid. A communication was received from Howard P. Barnes, Deputy County Fngineer which was ordered received, placed on file and spread upon the minutes as follows: J°aly 22, 1930 I Mr. Walter R. Marvin, Jr. Town Clerk Mamaroneck, N. Y. Gentlemen:- i am enclosing herewith a copy of letter to the Village of Mamaroneck, which now submits a revised estimate of costs for the improvement of Halstead Avenue and the two bridges thereon, as County Road #80. This revised accounting now supersedes our letter of June 2nd, copy of which was sent to you. You will note that there is now no share chargeable to the Town of Mamaroneck and to the Town of 'dye to cover costs in the improvement of the bridge over the Mamaroneck River. The total cost of this bridge construction is now to be carried by the Village of Mamaroneck and the County. Very truly yours (signed) Howard P. Barnes Deputy County Engineer 25 The Clerk presented claims in the amount of X300.00 each, submitted by Charles H. Baxter, Frank L. Egger and Price, Twiller and Schiller, Inc., for expert services as appraisers in connection with the taking of land Owned by Tura. A. H. Stevens on Murray Avenue as part of the Hurray Avenue improvement and for consequential damages resulting therefrom. The claim of Price, Miller and Schiller had been presented at a previous meeting of the Board and held over for future action. After dim cusaion it was upon motion by Tustice Leeds seconded by Justice Yessersmith, it eras, upon roll call unanimously RESOLVED, that the claims in the amount of $100.00 each, submitted by Charles TAI. Baxter, Frank L. Egger and Price, Killer and Schiller, Inc., for expert services as appraisers in connection with the taking of land owned by lErs. A. H. Stevens on Murray Avenue as part of the Eurray Avenus Improvement and for eonseauen- tial damages resulting therefrom be and they hereby are approved and ordered paid.
