The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 845 P. K.

Upon motion, duly seconded, it eras voted to dispense
with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved.
l:r. Euclid. Brondoli appeared before the Board and
requested the extension of water rain in Senate Terrace.
The Clerk was directed to secure an estimate for the
installation of said water main and to present the same to this
Board at its next zaeeting.
The Clerk presented an estimate in the sum of -3,288..08
for the installation of 520 feet of 6 inch eater main on bast
Brookside Drive, from the end of the existing 6 inch water main
near 'rifest Brookside Drive, together with the installation of two
fire hydrants.
The estimate was ordered received and placed on file.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED air: REAS, this Board requests the
installation of 520 feet of 6 inch water
main on East Brookside :give, from the end
of the existing main near the intersection
of ',-pest Br•ooksideDrive, together 44th two
fire hydrants, along said extension; therefore
be it
P+SOLVED, that l'estchester joint Water Works,
Yo. 1, be and it hereby is authorized and em-
powered to install for the Tcv.m of Iaamaroneck,
said main and hydrants, and to charge the 'Town.
of ;;iamaroneck, the actual cost thereof, as
ascertained and approved by the Board of Trustees
of said 'u,estchester Joint Water Works, loo. 1.
The Gle.rk presented an estimate in the sum of yp978.83,
for the installation of 220 feet of 6 inch eater main on Villa
Road, from Boulder Road to Glen Eagles Drive.
The estimate was ordered received and placed on file.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED 'dHEYEAS, this Town Board requests
the installation of 220 feet of 6 inch water
main on Villa Road, from Boulder Road to
Glen 7agies Drive, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the 1+estchest.er ,Toint Water
Works, No. 1, be and it hereby is authorized
and empowered to install for the Town of
Lia.maroneck, said main, and to charge the Town
of ZTamaroreck, the actual cost thereof as
ascertained and approved by t',--e Board of
Trustees of said Westchester Joint Water
Uorks, Trio. 1.
A. communication from the Larchmont Gardens Association
was received and read relating to the condition of the Sheldrake
River above the Garden Lake.
The communication was ordered received, placed on file
and referred to the Superintendent of Highways with pol5,er.
The Supervisor presented the following resolution and
petition:
WMETAS,_ the Board of Supervisors of the
County of 'Westchester has adopted a County
= Road Act, which act permits the building of
County roads jointly by the County and Town
or Towns; and
I RBAS, said Board of Supervisors has stip-
ulated that in the building of County goads
the County will pay. 50% of the cost of con-
structing a reinforced concrete pavement 30
feet in width, the municipality in which the
road is located being, required to pay the bal-
ance of the cost of construction and the full
costfor any additional width to provide any
additional right of way and to maintain the
same after construction; and
JdHFRT'AS, Old White Plains Road between the Town
of Scarsdale on the north and the boundary line
of the Village" of Hamaroneck on the south, known
as County No. a length of approximately .9
miles if constructed as a County road would make
an important connecting link; and
'r'—REA,S, the Town Board of the Town of T?amaror_eck
believes that this road is of sufficient import-
ance to warrant County aid in its construction;

RT'SOLVM, that this Board respectfully petitions
the Board of Supervisors of Westchester County to
designate for construction as a County road Old
White Plains Road, between the Town of Scarsdale
or the north and the boundary line of the 'Tillage
of Kamaroneck on the south, as above described;.
and be it further
RT`SOLVPD, that in the event of favorable action by
the Board of Supervisors of _,destchester County,
said road be improved by the construction of a
reinforced concrete pavement 30 feet in width s
the Town of yamaroneck hereby agreeing to pay 50%
of the cost of such construction, provide for any
additional right of 'Way required, hold the County
harmless fron any and all damages due to change
of grade or alignment and maintain the pavement
after construction..
The question being taken upon the foregoing reaolutions
the same were upon roll call unanimously adopted..
The Board then proceeded to sign the foregoing petition.
A communication from the League of Civic Associations
was -received and read, relating to the evident improper drainage
Of water on the east side of ';leaver Street, approximately 150
feet from Forest Avenue.
The communication ivas ordered received,- placed ors file
and referred to the superintendent of Highways with pourer.
A communication from ZZr. Emil Zvirin was received and
read submitting a request of ILr.. Joseph Lercadante to change the
name of Dimitri Avenue to Dante Avenue.
The communication was ordered received, placed on file
and after due consideration, and upon motion, duly seconded, it
was
RE•S0I"V`3D, that Dimitri Avenue in the maple Hill
subdivision of the Town, be and the same hereby
is changed to Dante _ivenue, in accordance with
the request of the developer of the property.
A communication from :ter. C. lI. Moody was received and
read, requesting that the name Collins Avenue be changed to.Bonnie
Briar Lane.
The communication was ordered received, placed on file
and the request was laid over subject to the receipt of the
consent of the abutting property owners.
A communication from the State Highway Department was
received and read, submitting therewith, applications and permits
to the Town ofLTama.roneck to construct concrete sidewalks, pavement
intersections and remove and construct all curbs on County Highway
No. 1-645, Weaver Street.
The communication was ordered received placed on file
and upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Clerk be and he hereby is
authorized and empowered to sign the applic-
ation to the State Highway Department f or
permission to construct doncrete sidewalks,
pavement intersections and remove and construct
- all curbs on county Highway Ho. 1645, `leaver Street.
A communication from iiessrs. Low and Low was received
and read, requesting information whether Taylor Place (formerly
novin as !Zrrtle Place) has ever been dedicated to the Town as a
Town Highway.

The Clerk was advised to reply stating that insofar as
the records available in this office, Taylor Place has not been
dedicated as a `town Highway.
The Superintendent of Highways reported that the liobero

so were erecting a building on the north side of
Yyrtle Blvd., rtrere encroaching upon the sidewalk line of the high-
-,;Tay, and he recommended that they be notified to remove the said
encroachment.
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways
upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Clerk be and he hereby is
authorized and erpowered to notify the Yobero
Realty Company and to remove the encroachment
of their building situated on the north side
of L yrtle Blvd., within the Highway area.
The communication from the -Gnunty Engineer; Charles Kac-
Donald was received and read, submitting plans for the continuation
of the parallel route from Larcluriont Avenue in Larcimont to
Petersville Road in Yew Rochelle, known as County Road 67 Part 2.
The plans were considered by the Board and after due
consideration, upon motion, duly seconded, it was
F2-SOLVED, that the plans for County Road
L-o. 67, part 2., as submitted by the County
.Trgineer be and the same hereby are approved
and it was -further

RESOI,VFD, that the Clerk- be and he hereby
is authorized and ampo,aered to sign the
plans as submitted by the County " noineer.
The Clerk brought to the Doard's attention the fi--a,tter
of the claims of the C. D. Beckwith Cempa.ny for various work
around the Station area, and after a. full discussion of the entire
situation, at which time the Su-Pervisor recommendsd that the matter
be left to the Superintendent of Highwaya for adjustment.
It was so ordered..
