The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 8:3 0 P. 'Al.

The Clerk advised the Board that the meeting was
called to hold a Public Hearing to consider the application of
the Westchester 3lectric Railroad Company for consent to sub-
stitute the operation of motor busses for street Railway cars in
the Town of arz roneck, over, in, upon, across and along the follow-
ing described highways, streets and roads, to wit: from the west-
erly boundary line between the Village of Larck wont and the Town
of -amaroneck on the Boston Post Road, thence along said Boston
Post Road in a westerly direction to the boundary line between
the Town of If.amaroneck and the City of ITew Rochelle on said
Boston Post Road, being part of a road nor operated by said
company from a terminus in the City of ITew Rochelle to said Deane
Place.
The Clerk stated that the meeting was being; held pursuant
to a resolution of the Town Board adopted February 6th, 1929, call-
- ing said Public hearing;, which has been duly advertised in the Daily
Times and in the Larchmont Times.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
R SCTVkD, that the call of the meeting be
approved and the affidavits of the publication
and the notice of the Public wearing be filed.
Supervisor Burton stated that the Board would nod; consider
the application. He asked Counsel to advise the Board concerning
the application and the proposed agreement which was about to be
entered into between the dew `fork & Stamford Railway Company and
the County Transportation Company, which agreement contained prov-
isions providing for the operation of busses over the streets
contained in said application. Counsel explained the matter in
detail and stated that if this application was granted that busses
would be operated over a thru route into ITew Rochelle without
change by the County Transportation Company.
Supervisor Burton stated that he would now hear any
persons who desired to be heard, first in opposition to said
application. There being no one present in opposition to the applic-
ation, Supervisor Burton stated the Board would hear any one Ares-
_ ent who desired to spear in favor of said application.
Tr. William P.•. Lyon, Tr. , addressed the Board in favor
r of said application and outlined some of the steps which had been
taken in connection v;Tith obtaining the traffic agreement referred
to by Counsel and said he hoped that favorable action would be
taken by the Board.
Lr. Dennis, General Kana.ger of the Boston Post Road also
spoke in favor of the granting of said application.

Yo others appearing desiring to be heard, Supervisor
%carton stated that the Board would close the "nearing and consider
the application.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
P,E.SCLVED, that the Hearing be closed and
the matter taken under advisement by the
Board.
Counsel advised the Board that it was his understanding
that inasmuch as the granting of this application and another
application of the Petitioner to operate busses on Mamaroneck
�,venue in the Village and 'Town of 'Yamarcneck and in the Town of
Harrison between the Village of Mamaroneck and the City of White
Plains and the application now before the Village Board of the
Village of l_a.maroneck and the Nei,, York and Stamford Railroad
Corapany and/or the County Transportation Company for an increase in
fare on the Stamford line were all of mutual interest to said three
municipalities that it had been suggested tIm t a joint meeting of
the Boards of said three municipalities be held to consider all
applications and matters in connection therewith and each, perhaps,
take respective concurrent action.
U-pon motion, duly seconded, it was
R—ESOLVED, that Counsel communicate with
Supervisor Taylor of the Town of Harrison,
and Mayor Bates of the Village of _iamaroneck
regarding the ouest.ion of having a joint meet-
ing of the three Boards on such date as would
be agreeable to each.
There being no further business, upon motion, the meeting
adjourned at 9 P. T .
