The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 10:30 P. 1-4 Present:. Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Collins, and Leeds Superintendent of Highways Coles Town Clerk Sherman Upon motion, duly seconded, it was voted to dispense with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved. A communication from the Hoffman Building, --no. , was received and read, relating to the existing five foot drainage easement through lots 387 and 388 on the map of 'maple Hills, and requesting that the same be transfered from its present position to the easterly side line of lot 387. Appearing before the Board on behalf of said request, were liessrs. Borgen, Sutton and Zvirin. The communication was ordered received, placed on file and after discussing and considering the same, the matter was referred to the Supervisor together with the Superintendent of Highways. Ivor. Zvirin requested that street lights be installed on lla-ole Hill Drive. The matter was referred to a committee consisting of tle Supervisor and Superintendent of Highways for its report and re c ormiie nda t i on. Yir. Dennis appeared before the Board and presented the Post Road plans for the widening of said Post Road, which he had received from the Village of Pelham. The same were ordered received and placed on file. A communication from Gounty Engineer, Charles TIrc Donald was received and read, relating to the widening of the Boston Post Road, and attached thereto, was enclosed two preliminary resolutions. The same viere ordered received and placed on file.. Resolutions were received from the League of Civic Associations, the executive committee of the Larchmont Gardens Association and from the Parent Teachers Association of the 2urray ,Avenue School, petitioning that sidewalks be constructed on the westerly side of Weaver Street, from uyrtle Avenue to Forest Avenue, and thence along the westerly side of Forest Avenue to its inter- section of Zurra.y Avenue. The resolutions were ordered received, placed on file and after discussing and considering the entire matter, including the construction of sidewalks in various sections of the Town, it was, upon motion, duly seconded, and upon roll call, unanimously RESOLVI-D, ' REAS, this Town Board deems it necessary and proper to establish a sidewalk district within the unincorporated portion of the Town of 'arnaroneck., outside- of the Villages of Larchmont and Hamaroneck., in accordance with the provisions of Article 11-a of the Town Law to the end that the comfort, convenience and safety may be promoted in the proposed district which is hereinafter described; now, therefore, it is RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before this Town Board at the Town Rooms, 'Yo. 6 .Elm Street, in the Village and Town of Zamaroneck, Few York, on Ivoveraoer 27th, 1928, at 8 o'clock P. M. , pursuant to the provisions of Section 250 of the Town Lair when a full opportunity to be heard will be given to all persons who appear and desire to be heard in regard to all matters relating to the establishment of said proposed sidewalk district; and it is further RESOL.V.T•D, that the Clerk be authorized and requested to cause a notice of said hearing to 'be posted and published as required by law. The following is a particular description of the bound- aries of the proposed district, to wit: ALL that tract of land, situate, lying and being in the Town ofLamaroneck, in the County of Westchester and State of New York, bounded and described as follows: BF-GIILT IlaC, at a point in the easterly line of Rockland Avenue where the same is intersected by the boundary line between the Town and Village of iian aroneck, and running thence northerly and northwesterly along the easterly line of Rockland Avenue to a point where the same is intersected by the easterly line of the sub- division '.mown as Laurence Hill (formerly known as Rockland Y�nolls) ; thence northerly along the easterly line of said subdivision known as Laurence hill to the southerly line of Cross County Parkway; thence westerly along the southerly line of the Cross County Parkway to the easterly line of liurray Avenue; thence southerly along the easterly line of kurray Avenue to the northerly line of Forest Avenue; thence easterly along the northerly line of forest Avenue to a point where the sane would be intersected by line parallel with and onq/nundred (100) feet westerly from the westerly line of Daymon Terrace (Senate Terrace); thence southwesterly by a line along the rear of lots lying between Yurrav Avenue and Senate Terrace, as shown on Map of Colonial Park filid in the Registers Office August 3, 1906 on Page 21, Volume 23, said line being one hundred (100) feet westerly from and parallel to the westerly line of Daymon Terrace (formerly Senate Terrace) to the northerly line of Colonial Avenue; thence crossing Colonial Avenue to the southerly line of Colonial Avenue by line at right angles to the line of Colonial Avenue to the easterly fL line of hurray Avenue; thence southerly along the easterly line of Hurray Avenue to the northerly line of Homer Avenue, thence easterly along the northerly line of Homer Avenue to a point where the same would be intersected by the westerly line of Orsini Drive; there southerly along the westerly line- of Orsini Drive to the northerly line ofI aple 'dill Drive; thence westerly along the northerly line of maple hill Drive to the easterly line of Emerson Road, thence southerly along the easterly line of Faerson Road to the northerly line of Edgewood Avenue; thence easterly along the northerly line of Edgewood Avenue to a point where the same would be intersected by the easterly line of Taylor Place; thence southerly along the easterly line of Taylor place to the northerly line of myrtle Avenue- thence easterly along the northerly line of 11yrtle 'vvenue to a point where the same would be intersected by the westerly line of Thompson Street; thence southeasterly along the westerly line of 'Thompson Street to the southerly line of Laurel Avenue; thence westerly along the southerly line of Laurel Avenue produced to the Town of Yamaroneck Sewer Easement; thence southeasterly along the Town of Yamaroreck Sewer Easement across the lands of the 'restchester County Park Commission and the W'Iew York, Iiew Haven and Hartford Railroad, and across properties fronting; on Palmer Avenue to the northerly line of Palmer Avenue; thence easterly along the northerly lineof Palmer Avenue, to the boundary line between. the Town and Village of 1amaroneck; thence northerly and easterly along the boundary line between the Town and Village of aTamaroreck to the easterly line df Rockland Avenue, the point or place of beginning; all of which is shown on a certain map entitled "'Yap of Weaver Street Sidewalk District !To. 1 of the Town of Ylamaroneck, flew York" made by A. I. Foote, Civil Engineer, Hillside Arcade, Larchmont, New York, and dated October 25th, 1 928, which is filed with the Town Clerk of said Town. The Board took up for consideration the subject matter of the improv4xMent of Fenimore Road and after discussing the enti'r'e situation the same was referred to t-he Superintendent of Highways. justice Deeds reported that he had received an invitation to attend the official opening of the Hutchinson River Parkway. It was voted that all members be requested to attend the opening of said Parkway. The Supervisor reported that a hearing was to be held before the Public Service Commission, relating to the vridening of bridges across the leer York, New Maven and Hartford. Railroad tracks. It was voted that the Supervisor, justice Leeds and -- Counsel are authorized to attend said hearing. Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 1 A. L. Town Clerk I
