In the absence of the Supervisor, the meeting was called to order by Justice Boyd at 10.30 P. T1. Present: Justices Boyd, Dowell and Leeds Zuperintendent of Highways Coles Gounsellor Gamble Clerk Sherman Ulpon motion, duly seconded, it was votedd to dispense with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved.. A communication, together with a resolution from the Harbor Heights, Riverdale,Park, 11amaroneck Knolls Association, was received and read, requesting that action be taken on the bus application of the Third Avenue Railway Company to substitute buses on 1;amaroneck Avenue. Present at the meeting were 1Lr. Davidson,, representing the Third Avenue Railway Company, r. Hinckley and ?Mr. Smith representing the Association, and Mr. Stilwell and Yr. Stern, all who spoke in favor of the application. After a full discussion of the entire situation, wherein they were advised by the Board, that the Board was at all times -- willing and ready to grant the consent for the suhstitutian of buses on Mamaroneck Avenue, provided that the said consent in no way validated any franchise rights- that either party might have. At this time, 1ir.. Davidson, of the Third Avenue Rail-,gay Company consented to accept a franchise upon the terms and con- ditions as stated. It was thereupon moved and seconded, that the entire matter of a consent for the operation of buses on Hamaroneck A.uenue be referred to Counsel for proper resolution, the same to be presented to the Town Board at its next meeting. Mr. good,. of 'flood Acres appeared before the Board and requested the extension of water mains covering his property. The matter was referred to the Clerk for estimate and report. The Glerx presented an estimate from the Board of Trustees of the Westchester Joint Water :Forks, iTo. 1, in the sum of $2¢6.44.99 for the installation of 600 feet of 6 inch distribution main on Roc's-land Avenue, from Highland Place to Weaver Street. The estimate ivas ordered received, placed on file. Upon motion, duly seconded, it was RESOLVBD, SJE3EREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Westchester Joint Water Works, No. 1, has submitted an estimate in the sum of $2,644.99, as the cost of installing 600 feet of 6 inch distribution main. on Rockland avenue, from Highland Place to :leaver Street, therefore be it 145 RESOLVED, that the said Westchester Joint water Works, Now 1, be and 'hereby is author- ised and requested to install said main, and to charge the Town of Lamaroneck the actual cost thereof, a.s ascertained and approved by the Board of Trustees of said Westchester Joint -Nater Works, ido. 1. A petition from property* owners and residents of Rochelle Road and Huguenot Drive, was received and read, relating to the diverting of traffic from the Boston Post Road, through Rochelle Road and Huguenot Drive. The petition was ordered received, placed on file and referred to the Westchester County Park- Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:15 P. U. Town Clerk I
