The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 3:15 P. U.

The Clerk presented an estimate from the Board of
Trustees of the Westchester Joint dater Works, No. 1, in the
sure of $2,109.87, for the installation of 550 feet of 6 inch
distribution main and one hydrant on Valley Road, from the end
of the existing main on Birch Load to Glenn Road.
The estimate was ordered received, placed on f2e, and
upon motion, djl-%7 deconded, it was upon roll call, unanimously,
RESOLVED, '7HRE'AS, the Board of Trustees
of the 'Yestchester Joint. Water Works, No. I,
has submitted an estimate in the sum of
$2,109.87, as the cost of installing 550
feet. of 6 inch distribution main, together
with one hydrant on Valley Road, from the
end of the existing line at Birch Road to
Glenn Road, therefore he it

and requested: to install said main and hydrant
and to charge the Town of Mamaroneak the
actual cost thereof, as ascertained and approved

The Clerk presented an estimate from the Board of
Trustees of the 'destehester Joint dater Works, No. is in the
sum of $3,363.47, for the installation of 900 feet of 6 inch
distribution main, together with one hydrant on Chatsworth Avenue,
from Birch Road to the end of the line, north of Glenn Road.
The estimate was ordered received, placed on file and
upon motion, duly seconded, it 1,zras upon roll call, unanimously,

The Clerk presented an estimate from the Board of
Trustees of the ajestchester Joint Water `?Yorks, Yo.. 1, in the
sup. of 02,090.76, for the installation of CO() feet of 6 inch
distribution main together with one hydrant on Colonial Avenue,
easterly from Hurray Avenue.
After discussion and consideration, the estimate ti,[as
ordered received, placed on file and laid over for further
consideration.
The Clerk presented an estimate from the Board of
Trustees of the Westchester Joint Water :forks,. No. 1, in the
sum. of $2,407.15, for the installation of 1,790 feet of 6 inch
distribution main together with two hydrants on Hasnmiocks Road
to Xbmaroneck Village lined
After discussion and consideration, the estimate yas
ordered received, placed on file, and laid over for further
consideration.
The Clerk presented an estimate from the Board of
Trustees of the Westchester Joint %yater 7orks; Igo. 1, in the
sum of 43,337.35, for the installation of 2,280 feet of 6 inch
distribution main,. together with three hydrants on Eagles Xnoll
Lane and Eagle Knolls.
After discussion and consideration, the estimate seas
ordered received, placed on file and laid over for further
consideration..
The Clerk presented an estimate $om the Board of
Trustees of the Westchester Joint Water Works, No. 1, in the sum
of $6,729.03, for the installation of 950 feet of 10 inch distrib-
ution :.gain on Boston Post Road, from the end of the existing line
to LOaust Street, and cennectirig with the present mains at ';heaver
Street and at Locust Street.
After discussion and consideration, the estimate was
ordered received, placed on file, and laid over far further
consideration./
The Clerk presented a st.ate-ment showing the total amount
dui; to the Testchester Joint Water Works, No. 1, for completed
extensions and for meters installed..
The statement also showed the probable cost of extensions
authorized but not. yet completed.
In that connection he advocated that. a committee be appoint-
ed to lay out the future program, of .rater extensions so that the
Board may be in a position to know the amount of money required
annually for said proposed extensions.
After :ai scussion and consideration, it was upon motion,
duly seconded,
RESOLVED, that a water committee be appointed
to lay out a program of future grater extensions.
The Supervisor thereupon appointed the following
committee: Clerk S:lerm�an, Justices Collins and Leeds.
The Supervisor advised the Board that in connection with
the leasing of the New Haven station and the park grounds contiguous
thereto, he had discussed with the New Haven the possibility of
leasing a part of the property owned by the Near maven and now used
for parking, to the Town of Mamaroneck. He stated that he deemed
this prise and that if such a lease could be arranged it could be
taken in the name of the Torn, and the Park Coivnission requested to
include it in the park area. He stated that he and Counsel had
discussed the matter with i:'r. Baily of the New Hagen.

Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Counsel be
and they hereby are authorized and empowered
to negotiate with the Xeii York New Haven and
Hartford Railroad Company for a lease to the
Tov,rn of i_amaroneck for a consideration. of 1
of portion of the Neer Maven property within
the Town of Izau_aroneck contiguous to the Town
of IZamaroneck Park t not including, however,
any of the station of the New Haven) upon
terms within their discretion.
Supervisor Burton reported that he had had several_
conferences orith Yr. Ili.11er, President of the County Transportation
GOmpa..y, Inc. , regarding a change of schedule so as to provide
additional buses for the school children and that Yr. Miller had
arranged such a schedule. He presented a copy of Iir. 11errs
letter which was read.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVE, that the Town of Yamaroneck hereby
consents to the change of schedule requested
by the County Transportation Company, Inc:,
to make provision for the taking to and
carrying from scho.dl of school ch ldfen as
provided in the Letter of said Company.
The Supervisor also advised the Board that said Company
had made an application to the City of New Rochelle to continue the
bus route line of said Company into 1iew Rochelle.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it ti;Tas
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Clerk be
and they hereby are directed to communicate
with the Mayor of the City of New Rochelle,
and to recommend the granting of the consent
to the County Transportation Company, Inc.,
same being in the opinion of this Board, of
mutual interest to the City of Yew Rochelle
and the Totim of Mamaroneck.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that Counsel be and he hereby is
authorized and empo.-rerdd to go over the
present Taxi Ordinances of the flown of
M&-ilaroneck and to revamp such provisions
thereof as may in his judgment seep nec-
essary, having in mind the completion, of
the establishment of the Park and the pro-
posed lease with the New Haven.
Upon motion., dulys econded, it rras
RESOLVED, that Counsel advise the County
Transportation Company, Inc. , of the
complaints received by the Town Board
regarding the unsatisfactory road ability
of its buses, and request that some action
be taken rTith the springs and shock absorbers,.
etc_
