The meeting was called to order by Supervisor
Burton at 8:45 P. M.
Present:
Supervisor Burton
Justices Collins, Howell, and Leeds j
Town Clerk Sherman
Superintendent of Highways Coles
Counsel Gamble
The minutes of the meetings of February 23, March2,
March 9 and Ifarch 23, 1927 were read, and upon motion approved
A delegation from the Colonial Park Association
appeared before the Board and discussed the following
questions:
1. Filling of ditches and tree within roadway.
2. Filling in excavation left by the Water Co.
3. Taking over certain streets in Colonial
Park as Town Highways.
4. "dater extensions.
5. Gas extensions.
These various matters were fully discussed and
referred to the Superintendent of the Highways. Upon motion,
duly seconded, it was, upon recommendation of the Superin-
tendent of Highways, and upon roll call unanimously
RESOLVED, that the 'TVlestchester Lighting
Company be, and it hereby is requested ,
required, and directed to install its
gas mains in and along Forest Avenue,
commencing at Iffeaver Street and contin-
uing to Dockland Avenue, thence along
Rockland Avenue to SL=ri-t Street, and it
was further
RESOLVED, that the clerk be requested
to submit a .,G®`r $fi? w copy of this
resolution to the Lighting Company.
A communication from the Westchester Lighting
Company was received and read making application to open
those portions of the Boston Post Road within the Town
of Mamaroneck, for the purpose of laying main electric
feed lines under ground. The communication was ordered
placed on file and the matter referred to the Superintendent
of Hi gh,,vays.

A communication from the ':heaver Street Fire
Company was received and read, requesting that the Water
Company be instructed to advise the man in charge at the
Fire Headquarters when water has been shut off in any section
of the district. The communication was ordered noted in
the minutes, placed on file, and the matter referred to the
Town Clerk, who eras authorized to take the same up with the
T4ater Company.
Acommunication from the Teaver Street Fire Company
was received and read, requesting that the Highway Department
notify the man in charge at the Fire Headquarters when streets
are closed or obstructed. The communication was ordered
noted in the minutes, placed on file, and the matter referred
to the Superintendent of Highways.
A communication from the Murray Avenue and Tleaver
Street Realty and Construction Corporation was received and
read, requesting the extension of water mains in and along
its property situated at the intersection of Murray Avenue,
Weaver Street, and Forest Avenue. The communication was
ordered noted in the minutes, placed on file, and the
matter referred to the Supervisor.
A communication from the Howell Park Association
was received and read, relating to the conditions of streets
after sewer, water or gas pipes had been laid, and also
pertain :Png to the condition of Meadow Place and Carleon
Avenue, with the request that these streets be put in good
condition. The communications were 'ordered noted in the
minutes, placed on file, and the matters contained therein
referred to the Superintendent of Highways.
The Supervisor stated that the Hillside Foldirg
Corporation had heretofore offered to deed to. the Torn of
Mamaroneck, for the consideration of O E DOLLAR, a strip
of land at the intersection of Chatsworth Avenue, Myrtle
Avenue and Yurray Avenue, 7hich strip of land allowed the
rounding off of the corner at said intersection and
enabled the Town to widen the street at said intersection
and relieve to a considerable extent the traffic congestion
at that point. The Supervisor stated that the dded had
been executed and delivered and the Clerk had had the same
recorded, and he suggested his action in accepting the said
deed be ratified and approved.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the action of the Sup-
ervisor in accepting the deed of the
Hillside Holding Corporation to the
strip of land at the intersection of
Chatsworth Avenue, Myrtle Avenue and
Murray Avenue be, and the same is
ratified and confirmed;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sup-
ervisor be, and he hereby is authorized
and directed to express to the Hillside
Holding Corporation the thanks of the
Town Board for its generosity in giving
the said strip of land to the Town.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the
Clerk be, and he hereby is authorized
to have the said deed recorded and the
cost of same be made a Town -charge.
The Supervisor and Superintendent of Highways dis-
cussed with the Board, plans of Westchester County for
certain bridges on Rockland Avenue in the Town. Upon motion,
duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of
Highways be, and he hereby is authorized
to take up with the Counts* Engineer, the
plans for bridges on Rockland Avenue.
The Board .then took up for consideration, the
agreement for the expenditure of Highway Honeys for the
year 1927. The agreement was presented and read, and
upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways, it
was, upon motion, unanimously
RESOLVED, that the agreement for the
expenditure of Highway Money for the
year 1927, as presented and read, be,
and hereby is approved by this Board,and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of
said agreement be filed with the Clerk
of this Board, and the Clerk was instruct-
ed to forward copies of same to the
County Engineer of Highways.
The Board then proceeded to sign and execute the
agreements.
WHEREAS, the owners of the fee and for the rights
of *Tray in a certain street in the development or district of
the Town of Mamaroneck known as Chatsworth Heights have
heretofore filed a petition with this Board and the Sup-
erintendent of Highways of the Town ofan;aroneck, offering
to dedicate and deed said street or portion thereof to the
Town of Mamaroneck and requesting said Town Superintendent
of Highways to accept said street as a Town Highway, and
7HEREAS, said petition has been considered by this
Board, and the Town Superintendent of Highways has examined
said street or portion thereof, and has recommended that it
be accepted as a Town Highway of the Town of Mamaroneck;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER !MSOLVED,
THAfi the Town of Mamaroneck do and it
hereby does accept the aforesaid offer
-- of dedication heretofore made by the
Chatsworth Heights Realty Company and
the deed and release to the Town. of
Mamaroneck presented thereto, and
does hereby accept as a Town Highway the
following described road, street, or
way, or portion thereof, as shown on
a certain map entitled "CHATSWORTH
MIGHTS, PROPERTY OF THE CHATS':; RTE
EMIGFTS R7,ALTY COP3PA_Y, II4 TIM To7aT
OF NAMAROITRECK, TMSTCIE'STM COUNTY,
NET7J YORK, SECTIONS Z,2 and 3", made
by L. E. VanEtten, Civil Engineer,
dated August 3, 1915, and filed in the
office of the Register of the County
of Westchester August 17,1915, as map
?Number 210$, and described as follows:

All that certain parcel or tract of
land situated, lying and being in the
Town of Mamaroneck, County of 'Westchester,
State of New '`pork, known and designated
as Bryson Street, extending from
Chatsworth Avenue to Murray Avenue.
AIM BE I T:
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the aforementioned
road, street and tray or portion thereof,
be, and the same hereby is made and
declared to be a. Public Highway,and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintend-
ent of Highways be, and he hereby is.
authorized and empowered to execute and
record whatever documents or certificates
are necessa;7 according to laver to vest
title to the Tovrn in said street, and
to bring the aforesaid resolutions into
full force and effect; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Ya_
maroreck shall be kept safe and harm-
less from any claim or damage of any
nature or character whatsoever in
anywise arising froz-, the improvements
of the aforesaid street, anything to
the contrary notwithstanding.
Upon motion, duly seconded, the meeting adjourned
at 10:30 P. M.
