HomeMy WebLinkAbout1927_03_23 Town Board Minutes (2) 231 MEETING OF TBE JOINT TOWN BOARD TOWN OF =YARONECS, held March 23rd, 1927. In the absence of Supervisor Burton, the meeting was called to order by Justice Collins at 9:45 P.M. PRESENT: Justices Collins, Howell.,; beads Town Clerk Sherman, Counsellor Gamble. Upon motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that Justice Collins act as Chairmen of the meeting. The Chairman stat ad that the meeting was held in accordance with a resolution of the Town Board continuing the public hearing of the application of the Westchester Street Transportation Company, Inc. for the consent to the substitution of the operation of buses or motor vehicles in place of ears upon the tracks of the Westchester Street Transportation Com- pany, Inc. on Mamaroneck Avenue. Yx. 1yons was present as a member of the Committee heretofore appointed to confer with the officials of the Westchester ,Street Traneportat ion Company, Inc. ?sir. Gamble reported on behalf of the Committee that he had conferred with Mr. Davison and Mr. YcQue st on of the legal department of said Company and that they had consented to certain slight changes in the form of Consent which they had heretofore demanded. He also presented a letter signed by the President of the petitioner confirming certain agreements made in connection with said matter, to wit: that the operation of buses would commence within sixty daW after all necessary consents had been given; that the operation of buses will commence on a headway of one hour except between midnigat and 6:00 A.M. aitl that the buses will be operated on Mamaroneck Avenue to and fr-:an the Boston Post Road in the Village of Mamaroneck. After discussion, upon motion duly seconded, it was RESO MD, that the matter of granting the consent be further adjouaned to April 6th, 1927, at 8;30 P.M.
