PRESENT: SuPerrisor Bu.-tort Justices Boyd,Howell,Leeds Superintendent of Highrayz Coles Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble Upon motion it was voted to dispense vrit'-Yi the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. 21r. Schror appeared before the Board. with a delegation and spoke in relation to the condition of the rcad'YaY On Myrtle Avenue, and also requested the installation of additional street -lights on Mnxoe avenue. After hearing the delegation, the roatte-1- was referred to the Superintendent Of HiglMrays with- power to act thereon. Messzz- R. H. Stevens, H. M Williams and Henry Mahlztedt appeared 'before the Board requesting the widening of Washington Street from thirty(3-0) feet to fifty(^4) feet. After due consideration and a full discussion of the entire matter the qaMie: was referred to the Superin- tendent of High-�Trays and the SuPel-visor for their report. The Supervisor presented the following resolution and upon motion by Tu,-tice Leeds, seconaed. by Tustice BoYd, same was upon Roll Call unanimously acopted V=REAS- the Board of Supe=visors of the County of Westchester, has adopted the County Road which act permits the bui lding Of cculntY roads jointly by the County and Town or Tomms, and MY-71 AS-said Board Of Supervisors has ati-oulated that -"-,i the building of County Roads the County will pay for f fty(6O%) Dercent of the cost Of cOr-stri-zcting a reinforced concrete pavement of a width_ u1p, to thirty-oix(361 feet, the municipality in which the road is located being required to Pay the balance of the cost of con- ZtrUction, the full cost for any additiopaj w-4dth, to -Provide any additional right of WaY, end to maintain same after co.1struct- ion, and YE—ERMAS- the Boston Post Road from the easterly line of the City Of New Rochelle to the westerly line Of the Village of a distanoe Of approximately 1180 feet in the To-un Of Ma-maroneck, is am i2rI)Ortarlt Connecting link, an! WM-REAS- the County on the 31st day of J`anuax—j, 1927, app oved the construction Of the Boston Peat Road through the City Of New Rochelle as coLlr', I_� Road ad yo �. 65 and stiloulated that on this road the rN "Unty vould pay for the cost of a reinforced concrete -_cavemen' thirty(30) feet in width on said road provided same was constructed a Yvridth of forty(c0) fee-4 or greater; and WEEREIIS- the portion of the road therein 11 petitioned carries the same traffic and conditions as Coun=ty p .L Load To. 65. WHEREAS- the To-:,m Board of the Town of EaMa-roneck feels that the Courty should aid in the construe biota Of this road., therefore, be it RESO=, that this Board respectfully petition the Board of SU'QerVjaGrS 4-0 designate for construction as a County Road the above described portion of the 'Poston Peat Road in the Town of faro_ neck, and be it further RESOLVED, that in the event of favorable action by the Board of Supervieora,zaiz road be improved by the construction of pavement forty(40) feet in width, the 7ovzn of 21--maroneak agreeing :o _Pay- for the full cost of construction over the cost Of a, reinforced concrete pavement thirty(30) feet in width, to pay for any additional right of vray acquired, to hold the County harmless from any and all damages due to change of grade or alignment and to maintain the pavemenit, alter V Iter construction.
