The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9.30 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton
Justices Bollins.,Howell,Leeds.
Superintendent of Highr�ays Coles
Clerk Sherman I
Counsellor Gamble.
Upon motion, it was voted to dispense with the read-
ing of the minutes of meetings not yet approved.
The Supervisor stated that the meeting had been
called in accordance with the resolution of the Town card
heretofore adopted for the purpose of holding a public
hearing(l) on the application of the County Transportation
Company,Inc. and/or the New York and Stamford Railway
Company to operate buses upon certain streets within the
Town of tRauaroneck, and/or to substitute buses for street
cars upon certain 'lines of the New York and Stamford
Railvray Company. (2) to hear the application of the
Testchester Street Transportation• Company,Inc. for the
consent to the substitution of the operation of buses or
motor vehicles in plaice of cars upon the tracks of the
Westchester Street Transportation Company,Inc.
The Clerk stated that notice of the Fearing had
beer. given by publication in accordance with lave.
Upo.n'niet"io.n duly seconded, it was
EMS0=1 that the call of the meeting and
the notices thereof be approved and that
affidavit* of publication of said notices
be filed by the Clerk.

Upon motion duly seconded, it was
1U;SOZVD, that the Board consider the
application of the Gbumt-r Transportation
Company and/or the New York and Stamford
Railwa,y Company.
The Clerk read the applicatior_. The Supervisor
then stated that the Board would hear all persons interested
in said application either for or against. and that the Board
mould first hear any person present who desired to speak in
opposition to the granting; of the consents.
Mr. Johnson representing the Chatsworth -Association
then spoke in opposition to the operation of buses on
Forest .Avenue and Weaver Street.
No one else being present who desired to speak in
opposition, the Supervisor stated that the Board would
now hear any one interested who desired to speak in favor
of the granting of said application.
Vx. Taylor representing the petitioner was then
heard by the Board in favor of said petition, also I'lessrs.
Lyon and Cohen spoke in favor of the granting of same.
There being no one else present desiring to be
heard, upon motion duly seconded, it was

RESOLVED, that the Hearing be now closed,
subject to such action as the Board might
herewith take.
The Supervisor stated that the next order of
business was the application of the petition f the West-
- cheater Street Transportation Compamy,Tne.
The Clerk proceeded to read the petition.
The Supervisor stated that the Board would then
hear any one present in opposition to said petition and no
one being present he stated that the Board would be glad
to hear any parties present in favor of said petition.
Mi. Mc Question representing the petitioner: then
spoke in favor of said petition and in addition thereto
Messrs.Iivon and Cohen spoke in favor of said petition.
There being no further persons present desiring
to be heard, upon motion duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Hearing be now closed
subject to further action by the Board.

The Supervisor stated that he believed the Board
should consider said petitions jointly, particularly with
regard to the transfer privileges to be exchanged between
the two respective petitioners, and upon nation duly
seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Joint Town Board hold a
Special Meeting on February 3rd,1927 at S P.M.
to further discuss the matters of the grant-
ing of the petitions heard at this sleeting
and to endeavor to determine at said meeting
what action the board hill take thereon;and
it vVras
pLRT'riLR RESOLVED, that the Clerk advise the
petitioners of said meeting: and request that
they have representatives present at said
meeting.
The Clergy, presented a request of Mr. C.`ff.Iloody to
have street lights installed in that development of the town
knoyrn as Rouken Plen; and also presented a request of Mr.
Michael Doherty to have additional. street Lights installed
at Dean Place on the Boston Post Road.
,After discussion, upon motion duly seconded, it was
RESOIVm, that the request of C.W.Moody for
the installation of street lights in the
Rouken Glen section of the town of Yame-roneck,
ar_d the request of Michael .Doherty for the
installation of additional lights on the
Boston Post Road near Dean Place be and the
same hereby are referred topthe Superintendent
of Highways and Justice: Leeds with power to
act thereon.
Upon motion:, the meeting adjourned at 11.301 P.M.
