Home My WebLink About1926_09_15 Town Board Minutes (2)151 MEETING 02 THE JOINT TOW BOARD TOWN OF MAKARONECK held September 15,1926. In the absence of theSupervisor,the meeting was called to order by Justice Boyd at 9 P.M. PRESENT: Justices Boyd,Collins,Howell,Leeds Superintendent of Highways Coles Town Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble Upon motion duly seconded, it was voted to dispense with the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. A delegation from the Rushmore Association was present at the meeting registering their protests relating to street lights, fire hydrants and conditions of the roadways. After hearing their complaints and discussing each of these subjects with the delegation, the entire matter was referred to the Superintendent of Highways for his attention. A communication from the Chatsworth Association was received and read, calling the Board's attention to the conditions of the sidewalks on Murray Avenue. The Superintendent of Highways advised the Board that the side- walks had since been put in condition and repaired. The communication was ordered noted in the minutes and placed on file. A communication from Mr. C.C.King was received and read, relating to a cesspool located on hispremises at Lakeside Drive and Rocky Road. The communication was ordered noted in the minutes and the matter referred to Dr. Bullard the Health Officer forhis report and recommendation. A communication from the Howell Park Association was received and read, requesting the installation of street lights at the intersection of Meadow Place and Caerleon Avenue. The communication was ordered noted in the minutes placed on file and Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways, it was upon Roll Call unanimously RESOLVED,that the Westchester Lighting Company be,and it hereby is requested, required and directed to install one sixty candlepower street lamp at the intersection of Caerleon Avenue and Meadow Place,situated in Howell Park, Town of Mamaroneck; and it was further 153 RESOLVED,that the Clerk be requested to submit a certified copy of this resolution to the Lighting Company. Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 9.45 P.I. .. Clerk.
