PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Collins,. Howell and Leeds Town Clem Sherman Counsellor Gamble. Upon motion it was voted to dispense with the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. Mr. Nye of Carleon Avenue appeared before the Board and asked for the installation: of gas extensions upon that street. After discussing the matter with him he was advised to secure a petition for the gas extension_ to be presented to the Board at a future meeting. A committee from the Colonial Park and Neighborhood Association appeared before the Board and took up the matter of the acceptance of certain streets in Colonial park,together with the status of secur:.ng the releases. The matter wasdiscussed flally with the committee apd after dire consideration the same was referred back to Counsellor Gamble. Yr.JohnHaggerty of Rockland Avenue was also present andhe spoke in relation to the condition of the roadway at Rockland Avenue west of Forest Avenue. He was advised that the natter would be referred to »r. Coles for his attention. A petition of property owners in the :nei ghborhood Of Fifth, .Monroe and Myrtle Avenues turas presented to the Board by a committee which was present; requesting repairs to the streets, installation of water hydrant and street lights. After discussion and due consideration the following resolu- tions were presented and upon Ro11 Call unanimously adopted; RE'SO:[,VED, that the Westchester Lighting Company be and it hereby is authorized and directed to install 3 street lights =_nthe ,ficinity of Myrtle Avenue,Idonroe Avenue and Fifth Avenue in the Town of Mazraroneckg said lights to be installed under the direction of the Superip_tendent'of Highways. Upon unction duly seconded it was upon the recommenda- tion of the Superintendent of Highways, RESOLIW, that the New York Inter -Urban Water Companybe and it hereby is requested,required -- and directed to install a fire hydrant on Monroe `.`Avenue between Fifth and IvZrrtle Avenues. The surface grater on the streets in 11Yrtle Avenue west of Chatsworth Avenue was discussed with the Board and the Clerk was authorized to Trite to the Water='Compa.ny rd aestiag an examination of its grater mains to ascertain wi'itether the water Pipes in that vicinity are leaking. The Clerk reported that request had been made for the installation of a hydrant on Harmon Drive opposite the Larchwont Garde-.qs Club House. Upon motion duly seconded, it was 125- � MOITV, that the -New York Inter -Urban Water Company be and it hereby is requested required and dird-cted to install a fire hydrant on Harmon Drive at a, point near the Larc1mont Gardens Ulub Hoase vih-7ch is situated oppositA Lakeside Drive. The Board then took up the matter of installing the water main and hydrant on Heather Lane and after due consider- ation and upon the recorrmendation of the Superintendent of .Highways, it was RESOLVED that the New York Inter-Urban- Iffater Company be and it hereby is requested required and directed to install its water mains in and along Heather Lane from Weaver Street easterly to the end of the street and to install one hydrant upon the end of the proposed extension. Counsel reported that he had prepared an agreement in relation to the drain situation on Orchard Road and he presented the following resolution, authorizing the Super- visor and Town Clerk to sign said agreement. Upon Counsel's recon: endation the following resolution was presented and upon Roll Call unanimously adopted: M=T'AS the oTw.ers of the fee and/or the rig'Ints of way in certain streets in the development or district of the Town of Mamaroneck known as Larchmont, Gardens have heretofore filed a petition with this Board and the Superintendent of Highways in t -he Tovm of Mamaroneck offering to dedicate and deed certain streets and portions thereof to the Tamm of Mamaroneck and requesting said To7rn and Superintendent of Highways to accept said streets as Tovm, high- ways; and WP_VRMS the Town of Maltoneck has heretofore taken over as Town highways a number of the aforesaid streets, and 14MMMEAS said Town has herdtofore refused to accept as a Town hiFh,.,,.,ay that certain street' or highway known as Orchard Road as shown on a certain map entitled "Plan of Lots called' Larch ort Gardens situate in t1ie Town of Yamaxoneck, County of Westchester and State of New York, surveyed for Clifford B.Harmon, 51 East 42nd Street,Few York, Subdivisions Nos. 1 and 2, by Long & Miller, Civil Engineers, dated August 16,19112, and filed in the office of the Register of Westchester 'County on Septertber 11, 1911, as Map No. J.949; and 7 T Is necessary and advisable prior T�MEAS it i L to the acceptance of said street to install a drain from said orcha-rd Road over certain lands and premises for the purpose of draining said road and lots contiguous thereto in Block 427 as shorn on the above described map, and WHFT.—PAS the owners of the aforesaid lots are Milling to grant unto the Town of Mamaroneck an easement, right of way and right to lay, construct and use a drain through, under and across certain -lots in said Block 427, and .2' certain other parties have agreed to pay a. part of the cost of construction of said drain, all of which is more fully s -et forth in a certain agreement presented to this Board herewith. Therefore, on the recon-mendation of the Superin- tendent of highways, -be it F—ESOLVBD that the Supervisor and Town Cleric be and they hereby are authorized, empowered and directed to execute on behalf of the Town of Mamaroneck- a certain agreement dated December 24,1925, with Albert F. Scully, LarcA:mant Gardens Company and the Town of Mamaroneck, acrd it was further RESOLVED that the Supervisor and Superintendent' - of Highways be and they hereby are authorized empowered and directed to do any and all things and to do any and all actions or snake such expenditures as they may in their discretion deem necessary and in the interest of the Town of Ma aroneck in the carrying out of the afore - sand agreement. The Highway Bond of Supervisor Burton in the corrected sure of $68,000.00 00.00 vias presented, approved and endorsed by the members of the Board and upon .motion duly seconded it was PMOLVED that the Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed to forward copies of the Supervisor's Highway Bond to the State highin-ay Department and to the County Superintendent of highways and that the or.ginal be filed in the office of the Town Clerk. A communication from Mr. E. Gaertr_er of 398 "leaver Street was received and read oomplaining of the grater on the street r-unning through his property and into the brook, The communication was placed on file and the matter was referred to the Supervisor together with the Superintendent of Highways.
