The meeting was called to order 'by Supervisor
Burton at 11.15 P.V.

The minutes of the meeting of December 26th, 1924
,imre read and upon motion approved.
A communication from the New York Inter-Urban
';eater Company was received and read, stating that they
have authorized the installation of six inch water mains
on Seaver Street as requested in the resolution passed
by the Town Board on August 6th last, and -further stat-
ing that the resolution above mentioned failed to specify
the number of hydrants requested upon said line. Upon
the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways,
it was upon motion duly seconded:
RESOLVED, that the New York Inter-
Urban Water Company be and it hereby
is requested and directed to install
three hydrants upon Weaver Street
�p:,s. + northerly 40
Forest Avenue, which water extension
was requested by a resolution of this
Board on August 6th, 1924, and it is
further
RESOLVED, that the hydrants herein-
before mentioned be installed and
placed at the direction of the Super-
inter_dent of Highways.
The Supervisor presented his 1924 annual report of
Highway moneys which was ordered received, noted in the
minutes, placed on file, and upon motion duly seconded, it
was, upon Noll Call:
RESCLVED, that the annual highway report
of the Supervisor be and the same hereby
is approved, and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be request-
ed and directed to have the same pub-
lished in the Larcl-mont Times and the
Mamaroneck Paragraph in accordance with
law and that the cost thereof be made a
proper Town charge.

The Clerk presented a communication from the
Westchester Lighting Company calling attention to the
resolution adopted by this Board, on December 26th, 1924,
in relation to the taking over of twelve electric lights
on certain streets of the Larchmont Hill's Subdivision
and stating that the resolution should have covered six-
teen lights on said streets instead of twelve; whereupon
the following resolution was presented, duly seconded,
and upon Roll Call, unanimously adopted:
AREAS, a resolution was adopted by
this Board at a meeting held. on Dec-
ember 26th, 1924, taking over twelve
electric lights along Hillside Road,
Echo Lane, and Lookout Circle, in the
Larchmont Hill°s section in said
Town of Mamaroneck as of January lst,
1925, and making the cost thereof a
Town charge, and
,=YMREAS, the Town Superintendent of
Highways and the Westchester Lighting
Company have since reported that the
number of lights on said Hillside Road,
Echo Lane and Lookout Circle are six-
teen instead of twelve as aforesaid,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that the resolution ado-atod
by this Board on the 26th of December,
1924, taking; over the aforesaid lights
as aforesaid be and the same hereby is
recinded, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the sixteen incandescent
lights owned and maintained by the
'aestchester Lighting Company along the
aforementioned streets 'ae and the same
hereby are leased '#y this Town as of
January 1st, 1925, and that the rental
cost thereof be made a Town charge and
paid quarterly as other lights are paid
for,
Mr. Gagliardi reported that at the request of
Supervisor Burton, he drafted an act amending the highway
law so as to provide a method of widening highways in cer-
tain Towns and raising the cost thereof by the sale of bonds
without submitting the proposition therefor to the electors
at a special meeting.
After the provisions of the proposed act were taken
up and considered, Justice Shafer offered for ado-otion the
following resolution:
Be it
RESOLVED, that this Board approve of
the amendment to the Highway Law pre-
pared by Mr. Gagliardi to be known
as Article 8-a, which provides a
method for widening highways in
certain Towns; and be it further
RESOLVED, that a copy of said proposed
act be forwarded by Mr. Gagliardi to
Senator Westall with a request that the

Senator use all lawful ways and means
in securing the early passage and
approval of said act.
Upon a vote being taken upon the foregoing resolu-
tion, the same was declared adopted.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11,30
o'clock P.M.
