HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924_08_06 Town Board Minutes (2) 289 Meeting of the Joint Town Board Town of Mamaroneck August 6, 1924. Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 10:35 P.M. PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd and Collins Superintendent of Highways Coles Torn Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble The minutes of the meetings of March 5th, April 2nd, A-pril 16th, May 14th and June 4th, 1924, were. approved. A petition from the residents of Larchmont Gardens was received and read, requesting the installation of gas mains from the end of the present main on Brookside Drive through Hickory Grove Drive, Cherry Street and Garden Road. The petition was ordered received and placed on file. A committee from the Gardens was also present and requested that proper action be taken by the Town Board to have the gas mains installed in the above mentioned streets. Whereupon the following resolution was presented and upon Roll Call unanimously adopted: RESOLVED: that the Westchester Lighting Company be and it hereby is requested and directed to install their gas mains in and along the following streets: Hickory Grove Drive from East Brookside Drive to Cherry Street; Cherry Street from Garden Road to Rocky Road; Garden Road from Cherry Street to East Brookside Drive, and Rocky Road from Hickory Grove Drive to Lakeside Drive. Messrs., Mooney and Thill appeared before the Board in relation to the acceptance of certain streets in the new Harimo subdivision, After discussing the matter at some length with the Board the same was referred to counsel. A communication from Mr. E. R. V'anSickle was received and read, requesting the extension of water ,mains on Weaver Street from the end of the present main to his house on cleaver Street. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways it was upon Roll Call unanimously RESOLVED: that the New York Inter Urban Water Company be and it hereby is requested, required and directed to extend its water mains in an along Weaver Street from the end of its present main a distance of 1575 feet under the super- vision and direction of the Superintendent of Highways. Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 11:50 P. M. er k. ��
