held, March 5th, 1924.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9,00 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Barton,
Justices Boyd, Collins,
Supt-of Highways Coles,
Town Clerk Sherman.
Upon motion duly seconded, it sae voted that the
min;xtes of the meetings of December 28, 1923, January 4, lh
and February 5, 1924, be approved.
A communisation from the New York Inter Urban Water
Company was received and read, refusing to make and install
water extensions unless under the new schedule of rates . The
same was ordered filed and referred to Counsel for his consid-
eration.
The Supervisor stated that the State highway Depot
had requested from him a bond in the sum of $43,000 to cover
the money used for highway purposes, and upon motion duly
seconded, it was
VOTED, that Supervisor Burton be author-
ized and empowered to bond himself in
the sum of 03,000 to cover the expend-
itures of highway money and that the
cost od securing the said bond, be a
town charge.
The Supervisor presented a communication from Mr.C.C.
Merritt in reference to a drain on Myrtle Avenue. The communio-
ation was ordered filed with the Supervisor and the matter re-
ferred to the Supt-of Highways.
The question of gas mains along Myrtle Avenue was again
discussed by the Board and upon the recommendation of the Supt.
of Highways, it was upon motion duly seconded,
RESOLVED, that the Westchedter Lighting
Company, be and it hereby is requested
and directed to lay gas mains in and
along Myrtle Avenue from the intersection
at Weaver Street to the intersection of
i7yrtle Avenue and Murray Avenue.
The Supt-of Highways reported the need of additional
lights in certain streets and upon his recommendation it was
upon R611 Call unanimously
RESOLVED, that the Westchester Lighting
Company be and it hereby is requested
and directed to have the following street
lights installed under the direction of
the Supt-of Highways:
1. Three lights on Sheldrake Ave, between
Forest Avenue and Rockland Avenue.
2. Two lights on Vine Road, from Forest Ave
to the end of the street.
3. Two lights on Colonial Avenue,between
Weaver Street and Murray Avenue,
Mr.H.M.Williams appeared before the Board relating
to the petition of the New Rochelle Realty Company for the
acceptance of portions of Echo Lane and Hillside Road as Town
Highways. After a full discussion the following resolution
was presented and upon Roll Call, unanimously adopted.
WHEREAS, the owners of fee/or right,�z
of way in certain streets in the de- ,
-- velopment or district of the Town of
Mamaroneck known as "Larchmont Hills"
have heretofore filed a petition with
this Board and the Supt-of Highways
of the Town of Mamaroneck, requesting
that certain portions of Hillside Road
and Echo Lane be accepted as public
Town highways, and agreeing to procure,
without expense to the Torn, such re-
leases and other instruments of title
as may be necessary to effect the trans-
fer and ddedication of the sane to the
Tovvrn for the said purpose and use, and
IMREAS, said petition has been eonsid-
ered by this Board and the Town Supt.
of Highways, and
UHEREAS, the Supt.of Highways has ex-
amined the aforesaid streets and portions
thereof, and has recommended that they
be accepted as Town highways by the Town
of Mamaroneck, upon certain terms and
conditions heribinafter set forth,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town of Mamaroneck do
hereby accept the aforesaid offer of the
New Rochelle Realty Company and others
to dedd and dedicate to the Town of Mama-
roneck as Town highways portions of Hill-
side Road and Echo Lane, and be it
further
RESOLVED, that the Town of Mamaroneck does
hereby accept as Town highways, the post.

Echo Lane bounded and described as followst
All that certain parcel of land situated in ghe Town of Marcaro-
ncek, Westchester County, New York, being a portion of lot NO.54
on map of Chatsworth and a portion of lot No.l on map of Chats-
worth Heights ( both maps referred to being filed in the West-
chester County Register's office) and which said parcel and is
also shown, but all of the metes and bounds not definitely pro-
duced on a certain map filed in the Westchester County Register's
office as map No.2557 on November 30th, 1923, and entitled "Map.
of Larchmont Hills in the Town of Mamaroneck, Testchester County,
N.Y., Subdivision No.l made by L.E.Van Etten, C.E.,September lst,
1923, which parcel of land hereby conveyed is more particularly
bounded and described as follows:-
BEGINNING at a pent which would be the intersection of the went-
erly side of Lfurray Avenue and the northerly side of Edgewood
Avenue if produced on said :nap of Larchmont Hills, and running
from said point of beginning north 70 11t 35" east along said
westerly side of Murray Avenue if produced, a distance of 67.58
feet; thence westerly following a line of curve concaved to the
left with a radius of 25 feet, a distance of 20.65 feet to a
point in the easterly line of of Echo Lane as shown on map of
Larchmont Hills; thence in a northwesterly direction following
the easterly or northeasterly line of Echo Lane by a curve con-
caved to the right with a radius of 273 feet, a distance of 153.22
feet to a point of reverse curve; thence continuing on the east-p
erly line of Echo Lane by a curve concaved on the left with a.
radius of 101.61 feet, a distance of 89.11 feet to a point of
tangent; thence north 170 30'05" west along the easterly line of
Echo Lane, a distance of 5 feet;t.hence south 720 291 55" west,
crossing Echo Lane 50 feet to a point of curve on the westerly
side of Echo Lane;thence by a curve concaved to the left-with a
radius of 20feet a distance of 31.42 feet to a point of tangent
on the northerly side of Hillside Road; 'thence south 720 291 55"
east along the northerly side of Hillside Road, a distance of
67.95 feet; thence south 170 30 1 05" east crossing Hillside Road
50 feet to a point of curve on the on the southerly side of Hill-
side Road; thence easterly by a curve concaved to the left with a
radius of 223 feet, a distance of 279.88 feet; thence south 540
241 35" west, a distance of 10 feet;tzxxxpzkxkxafxa=xz thence
south 350 351 2511 east a distance of 12.32 feet to a point of
curve; thence by a curve concaved to the left with a radius of.
23.98 feet, a distance of 45.24 feet to a point of tangent on the
northerly line of Edgewood Avenue, and thence north 720 291 55"
east along the northerly line of Edgewood Avenue if produced as
shown on map of Larchmont Hills, a distance of 67.83 feet to the
point or place of beginning.
It being intended to convey portions of Echo Lane and
Hillside Road and the area of the junction of Echo Lane with
Edgewood Avenue and Murray Avenue as shown on said map of Larch-
mont Hills, and no portion of the parcel above described lies
within the area of the map land as shown on map of Larchmont Hills.
SUBJECT to the easements of passage of the owners of
lots in Larchmont Hills, and subject alsc to to the easements of
the Westchester Lighting Company to construct and maintain gas
mains and electric light poles and appurtenances and subject to
the rights of the New York Inter Urban Fater Company to construct
and maintain water ruins.
F'JRT;iER RESOLVED, that the afore described
roads,streets or ways or portions thereof
be, and the same hereby are declared to be
pfablic Town highways upon the delivery to
the Town Clerk of proper deeds and releases
therefor, in form satisfactory to Counsel,
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that, upon the delivery
of the aforesaid deeds and releases in
proper form, the Town Clerk, be and he here-
by is authorized and empowered to record
the same.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Mamaro-
neck shall be kept safe and harmless from
any claim or damage of any nature or char-
acter whatsoever in anywise arising from
the improvements of the aforesaid streets
anything to the contrary notwithstanding.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the aforesaid acc-
eptance be, and it hereby is predicated
upon the condition that the New Rachelle
Realty Company will deliver or cause to
be delivered to the Town of Mamaroneck
deeds and releases ( in satisfactory form

and without expense to said Town of
Mamaroneck) deeding, releasing and d.ed-
ioating to it the remaining portions of
of the aforesaid streets to wit, as now
or hereafter la;,d out or determined,
when and if proper request by the Town
cf. Mlamaroneok is Made, therefor.
Mr.H.Wiorden again appeared before the Board in re-
lation to the acceptance of Hickory Grove Drive as a Town high-
way. After discussion, the matter was again referred to Counsel
for further report.
dessrs.Zvirin and Nye appeared before the Board in
relation to the petition for the acceptance of Carleon Avenue
as a Town highway, The matter was referred to the Supt.of
Highways and Sewer Commission fot report.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11.00 P.M.
