HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923_09_08 Town Board Minutes Meeting of the Joint Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK held September 5th, 1923. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 9.15 P.M. PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Collins, Dudley Superintendent of Highways Coles Town Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble. Upon motion, duly seconded, it was VOTED that the min- utes of the meeting of July 18th, 1923 be approved as printed. Mr. Michael Crimmins appeared before the Board request- ing the installation of gas mains on Myrtle Avenye. After due discussion, it was, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways. RESOLVED that this Board authorize, request and direct the Westchester Lighting Company to lay and install its gas mains in and along Myrtle Avenue beginning at the inter- section of Murray Avenue and extend the same easterly to the intersection of Vine Street and Myrtle Avenue; and be it further RESOLVED that the Clerk be requested to sub- mit a certified copy of this resolution to the Westchester Lighting Company. A communication ws received from Oreste Poccia request- ing the Board to furnish him with the line and level of Colonial Avenue. The communication was ordered received and placed on file, and the Clerk was requested to reply stating that the Board is without authority to comply with the request as said Colonial Avenue is not a Town highway. The Clerk presented claim of the Larchmont Water Works in the matter of rental of hydrants and it was the opinion of the Board that the three hydrants at Dillon Park be maintained and the bill submitted to the Board of Auditors for their audit. On motion the meeting adjourned at 10 P.M. Frederick M. Sherman Town Clerk
