TOWN OF MAMARONECK,
held, November 15th, 1922.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 10.30 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices Boyd, Collins, Dudley and Shafer,
Supt.of Highways, Anthes,
Town Clerk Sherman,
Counsellor Gamble,
Upon motion, it was voted to dispense with the reeding
of minutes of meetings not yet approved.
A communication from the Austin Western Road Machinery
Company was received with a copy of the lease contract for the
road roller executed by the Joint Town Board and approved by the
County Supt. of Highways. Same was ordered noted in the minutes
and placed on file.
The Supervisor reports that the road roller and scar-
ifier are expected to reach Mamaroneck within the next week or
ten days and recommends that some provision be made for the
storing of same.
Upon motion duly made by Justice Dudley, seconded by
Justice Shaffer, it was upon ROLL CALL unanimously
RESOLVED, that the sum of $1,500.00
be levied and assessed against the
taxable property lying within the
Town of Mamaroneck outside of the
Villages of Larchmont of Mamaroneck
and collected, for the purpose of
paying the cost of erecting and com-
pleting a suitable shed or building
for the storage of road roller, scar-
ifier and other highway tools and
implements belonging to the Town of
Mamaroneck, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and
hereby is authorized and empowered
to issue upon the credit and faith
of the Town of Mamaroneck one or more
certificates of indebtedness for a
sum not exceeding One Thousand Five
Hundred ($1,500.00) dollars in antic-
ipation of the collection, of the taxes
levied for that purpose and apply the
proceeds thereof in payment of the
cost of erecting and completing a
suitable building or shed for the stor-
ing of the road roller, scarifier and
other highway tools and implements
belonging to the Town of Mamaroneck.
Said certificate of indebtedness shall
bear interest at a rate not exceeding
6% per annum; shall be sold for not less
than par and shall mature at such time
as the Supervisor may determine, not
exceeding 18 months from the date thereof.
A communication from the Chatsworth Heights Realty
Company was presented by the Supervisor requesting the in-
stallation of two street lights on Chatsworth Avenue between
Glen Road and Bryson Street. The communication was ordered
received, placed on pile and upon motion duly seconded, it
was upon ROLL CALL, unanimously
RESOLVED, that Supervisor Burton take
the necessary action to have two street
lights installed on Chatsworth Avenue
between Glen Road and Bryson Street.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 10.45 P.M
