TOWN OF MAMARONECK,
held, September 13th, 1922.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9.30 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices Boyd, Collins and Shafer,
Supt.of Highways Anthes,
Town Clerk Sherman.
Upon motion, it was voted to dispense with the reading
of minutes of meetings not yet approved.
The Supervisor reports that the amount of highway money
available for the improvement of that portion of Palmer Avenue
lying west of Weaver Street, is not sufficient to cover the cost
of laying the curb and gutter.
Upon motion of Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Collins,
it was unanimously
RESOLVED, that the matter of laying a
concrete curb and gutter on both sides
of Palmer Avenue, west of Weaver Street,
be eliminated from consideration at
this time and that its construction be
deferred for the present.
The Town Supt. of Highways reports that he has tabulated
the proposals submitted for the construction of Palmer Avenue and
that he has awarded the same, except as to the construction of
curb and gutter, to Joseph Dimando, Inc.,
Upon motion of Justice Shafer, seconded by Justice Boyd,
it was unanimously
RESOLVED, that the report of the Town Supt.of Highways
be and the same hereby is in all respects approved and the awarding
of the contract for the construction of the Palmer Avenue improve-
ment, except as to the laying of curb and gutter, be confirmed.
It was further unanimously,
RESOLVED, that Counsel be directed to
prepare for execution a proper contract
for the construction of said improvement.
It was further unanimously
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor, Town Supt.
of Highways and Town Clerk be and they
hereby are authorized and empowered to
enter into a contract with said Joseph
Dimando, Inc., for the construction of
said Palmer Avenue improvement upon the
filing by said Company of a contract
bond and public liability policy as re-
quired by the instruction to bidders
and specifications attached to the prop-
osal submitted.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11.20 P.M.
