TOWN OF MAMARONECK,
held, September 6th, 1922.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9.50 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices Boyd, Dudley and Shafer.
Supt. of Higways Anthes,
Town Clerk Sherman.
The minutes of the meetings of July 5th, August 9th and
August 15th, 1922, were read and upon motion approved.
Supt. of Highways Anthes submitted his report for the
month of August, which waso ordered received, read, placed on file
and is as follows:
September 6th, 1922.
The Honorable Town Board,
Town of Mamaroneck, New York.
Gentlemen:
I herewith submit my report as Supt. of Highways for
work performed in this Department for the period extending from
August 1lst to August 31st, 1922, as follows:
Patched Forest Avenue with tarvia and blue stone.
Repairing Larchmont Gardens streets with tarvia and
blue stone.
Patched Weaver Street, Myrtle Avenue and Murray Avenue
with tarvia and blue stone.
Received from Barrett & Co., 39 bbls of tarvia and from
Edward Mernagh 200 yards of cinders.
Received from Connecticut Quarries Co. 6 car loads stone.

Mr. Bailey of the Larchmont Gardens Company appeared
before the Board, requesting the taking over by the Town of the
following streets in Larchmont Gardens, Rocky Road to Hickory
Grove Drive, Hickory Grove Drive from East Brookside to inter-
section of Rocky Road, Garden Road from East Brookside to the
intersection of Cherry Street, Cherry Street from Hickory Grove
Drive to Garden Road, East and West Brookside Drive from Fern-
wood Road to and around Valley Lake, Clover Street and Lansdowne
Drive from Fernwood Road to West Brookside Drive. The proposal
was submitted with the understanding that the Larchmont Gardens
Company would take care of the drainage. The matter was referred
to Counsel.
The matter of the extension of Garden Road to Weaver
Street was considered and after discussion it was voted that
the matter be referred to Counsel.
A communication from the Chatsworth Association was
received and read in relation to the poor lighting on Murray
Avenue and Edgewood Road section of Chatsworth Heights. The
matter was referred to the Supt. of Highways to make an inves-
tigation and report back to the Board of the lights needed and
the Clerk was instructed to reply to the Chatsworth Association
of the action taken.
The Supervisor presented a communication received from
Carl Geissler in relation street lights and the installation of
water mains on Chatsoorth Avenue between Forest Avenue and Glen
Road.
The matter of the street lights was referred to the
Supt of Highways and upon his recommendation it was upon motion
duly seconded,
RESOLVED, that the New York Inter Urban
Water Company be and it hereby is re-
quested, required and directed to to ex-
tend its water main in and along Chats-
worth Avenue from Glen Road to Forest
Avenue and to install one fire hydrant
on said extension.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was upon ROLL CALL, unanimously adopted.
The Supervisor reported the payment of sidewalk bonds
#4 and #5. He also reported that he had prepared a
survey of the Murray Avenue sidewalk.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11.15 P.M.
