TOWN OF MAMARONECK,
held, July 5th, 1922.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 10.20 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices Collins, Dudley and Shafer,
Supt, of Highways Anthes,
Town Clerk Sherman,
Counsellor Gamble.
The minutes of the meetings of May 26th, June 7th and
June 22nd, 1922, were read and upon motion approved.
Supt. of Highways Anthes submitted his report for the
month of June, 1922, which was ordered received, read, ordered
placed on file and is as follows:
July 5th, 1922.
The Honorable Town Board,
Town of Mamaroneck, N.Y.
Gentlemen:
I herewith respectfully submit my report as Supt. of
Highways for work performed in this Department for the period
extending from June 1st to June 30th 1922, as follows:
Patched and rolled sections of Weaver Street, Palmer
Avenue, Chestnut Street and Howell Avenue.
Patched Brookside Drive and Lakeside Drive with Tarvia
K.P.
Spread oil on streets in Howell Park, Palmer Avenue
and Lakeside Drive.
Repairing Forest Avenue and Old White Plains Road with
tarvia and blue stone.
Cutting weeds and bushes along the Highways.
Received from the Barrett Company 26 bbls of tarvia.
Received from the Westchester Lighting Company, 4 tanks
of oil.
Received from Connecticut quarries Co. 1 car load of
3/4" blue stone.

Mr. Anthes spoke of the need of laying a drain pipe in
Larchmont Gardens and upon motion, duly seconded, it was upon
ROLL CALL,
RESOLVED, That the Supt. of Highways
be and he hereby is author-
ized and empowered to lay a drain pipe
from Palmer Lane to Myrtle Boulevard
upon condition of securing a proper
agreement from the owner of the proper-
ty adjacent.
The matter of destruction of trees was discussed and
it was
VOTED, that the Supervisor be and
he hereby is authorized and empwered
to look into the question of preser-
vation of trees damaged throughout the
District and report back to this Board
of his findings.
Mr.Anthes spoke of the need of painting the Town fences
along the Highways and after discussion it was
VOTED, that the Supt. of Highways be and
he hereby is authorized and empowered
to procure bids for the painting of the
Town fences and submit said bids at the
next meeting of this Board.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 10.45 P.M.
