TOWN OF MAMARONECK
held, March 1st, 1922.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9.45 P.M.
PRESENT: Suervisor Burton,
Justices Boyd, Collins and Dudley.
Supt of Highways, Anthes,
Town Clerk Sherman,
Counsellor Gamble.
The minutes of the meeting of February 1st, 1922
were read and upon motion approved.
Supt. of Highways Anthes submitted his report for the
month February, which upon motion, was received, read, ordered
placed on file and is as follows:
March 1st, 1922.
To the Honorable Board,
Town of Mamaroneck, N.Y.
I hereby respectfully submit my report for work per-
formed by me as Supt. of Highways for the period extending from
February 1st to February 28th, 1922, as follows:
Removed snow and ice from highways.
Cleaned brook running from Murray Avenue to Chatsworth
Avenue.

A communication from the Larchmont Gardens Association
was received and read, urging the taking over of certain streets
in Larchmont Gardens west of Fernwood Road.
Mr. Dickenson, President of the Association was present
and addressed the Board and requested that action be taken in
the taking over of the said streets.
Mr. Bailey of the Larchmont Gardens Company was present
and stated that his Company would be glad to co-operate to the
best interest of the community.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that a Committee of this Board
together with the Supt. of Highways, meet
with representatives of the Larchmont
Gardens Association and the Larchmont
Gardens Company, to take up the matter
of accepting certain streets in Larchmont
Gardens as Town Highways, and report
back to this Board of their action.
The Supervisor appointed the following Committee:
Messrs. Collins, Dudley, Burton and Anthes.
Mr. Tortorella of Beach Street was present and asked
what progress was being made in the water main extension for
Beach Street.
The Supervisor stated that progress was being made
and the Clerk was instructed to again notify the New York
Inter Urban Water Company by registered mail to install the
desired extension.
Supt. of Highways Anthes submitted bids received from
the New Haven Trap Rock Co, the Connecticut Quarries Co, and
T.Callahan, fro different sizes of stone.
Upon the reccomendation of the Supt. of Highways, it
was upon motion duly seconded,
RESOLVED, that the Supt. of Highways
be and hereby is authorized and
directed to purchase from the lowest
bidders, the Connecticut Quarries Co,
two carloads of stone at the prices
quoted.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was upon ROLL CALL, unanimously adopted.
A communication from the Larchmont Gardens Association
was received and read urging the laying of a sidewalk on Weaver
Street from Edgewood Road to the entrance of Colonial Park.
The matter was referred to the Committee appointed by
this Board to take up the matter of the acceptance of streets in
Larchmont Gardens.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11.15 P.M.
