HomeMy WebLinkAbout1920_05_27 Town Board Minutes (2) Meeting of the Joint Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK May 27th, 1920. The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 11. P.M. PPESENT: Geo. W. Burton, Supervisor, Wm. A. Boyd, ) P.H. Collins, ) Justices. F.P. Shafer, ) Fred A. Anthes, Commissioner F.H. Sherman, Deputy Town Clerk. Upon motion, deul seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved, be dispense- ed with. The agreement for the year 1920 was presented and read, and upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. of Highways F.A. Anthes the Board approved of same and the copies to be for- warded to the County Engineer and the Highway Department at Albany. The Supervisor reported on the water main extension on Weaver Street, stating that progress is being made. The Superintendent of Highways presented a form of permit, relating to street openings, under Section 60 of the Highway Law, which Upon motion, duly seconded it was Voted, that Counsel be instructed to draw up proper resolution in reference to street openings and present same to the Board at its next meeting. The Superintendent of Highways presented an application of a resident taxpayer for a street opening on Murray Avenue, for a water connection. Upon the recommendation of the Highway Superintendent, it was, Regularly moved and seconded, that the application be app- roved by this Board. Justice Collins reports on the application of Mr. Murdock for the elimination of a severe turn on Old White Plains Road, stating that Mr. Murdock is willing to have the same done at hat expense. Upon motion, duly seconded, it was VOTED, that the matter be referred to the Supt. of Highways and if found to be on the highway, the Board app- rove that the work be done under the direction of the Highway Superintendent. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11.45 P.M. Town Clerk.
