of the Town of Mamaroneck Held Monday evening,
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor
Burton at 8:55 P.M.
The Clerk reported the following present:
Supervisor Burton, Justices Boyd, Dudley, Shafer, and Collins;
Superintendent Hickey, Town Clerk Fairchikd, Charles McDonald,
Jr., County Superintendent of Highways, and Ralph A. Gamble,
Counsel.
Upon motion, it was
VOTED that the reading of minutes of previous meet-
ings not yet approved be dispensed with.
Superintendent Hickey submitted his report for period
July 3rd, to August 11, 1919, which was read, ordered filed, and
is as follows:
"Office of Superintendent of Highways
Town of Mamaroneck
New York. August 11, 1919
To the Honorable Town Board of Mamaroneck,
Mamaroneck, New York.
Gentlemen :
I hereby report the following work on Highways since
the last regular meeting on July 3rd.
Patched and repaired Fenimore Road, Old White Plains
Road, and a portion of Weaver Street, with Tarvia B and 3/4 and
1/4" stone
Made temporary repairs to Palmer Ave from Weaver
Street to the Larchmont Village Line
Received from the Standard Oil Company of New York
5597 gallons of #4 Road Oil, same was applied on the following
streets and roads: Rookingstone Ave. Forest Ave, Highland Ave,
Wildwood Road, Walnut Road, Springdale Road, Popular Road,
Bungalow Road, Glen Road, Chatsworth Ave, Locust and Beach Streets.
Brush and weeds cut on all highways
Excavation of rock and earth complete on Edgewood Road
Work on Winfield Ave bridge well under way.

On motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED that the Board proceed forthwith to open the bids
for the paving of Palmer Avenue pursuant to advertisement.
The bids were then separately opened by the Clerk and
each was found to be in proper form and to be accompanied by a
check of 5% of the amount of the respective bad, as called for in
the specifications. The following bids were received:
Daley & Merritt, $27,998.50
Greenwich Contracting Co. 24,716.40
Joseph Dimando 23,350.00
Louis Petrillo 23,449.00
M. Deccico 25,875.05
Upon motion of Justioe Dudley, seconded by Justice
Boyd, it was,
VOTED: That the Board go into Executive Session for
the purpose of considering the bids.
After the Executive Session, the Board reconvened and
it was, upon motion, duly seconded, duly
VOTED: That the matter of concluding the Agreement
with the New York & Stamford Railway Company be referred to
Counsel, and that the awarding of the paving contract be de-
ferred to Friday, August 15th, 1919, at 8:30 P.M.
Upon motion, the Board adjourned at 10:15 P. M., to
meet pursuant to the above resolution.
