HomeMy WebLinkAbout1918_11_08 Town Board Minutes Joint Meeting of the Joint Town Board, Town of Mamaroneck and the Village Trustees of the Village of Larchmont, held in the Town Hall, Mamaroneck, N.Y., November 8th, 1918 at 8:30 P.M. The Meeting was called to order by President Hunter. The trustees of the Village of Mamaroneck were present in addition to the following members of the Joint Town Board: Supervisor Burton, Justices Collins, Boyd and Dudley; Superintendent Hickey, Clerk Fairchild, Ralph A. Gamble, Counsel. Messrs. McKinley and Calhoun, representing the Westchester Street Railroad Company, were present. President Hunter spoke for the Village Trustees. Messrs. McKinley and Calhoun spoke on behalf of the Railroad and informed the Boards as to the progress being made with White Plains and the other municipalities and asked for an extension of time within which to work out a solution. Mr. McKindly asked the Boards to appoint committees to confer with the other municipalities so that a solution of the matter might be worked out satisfactory to all concerned. He stated that pending this adjustment increased revenue must be obtained and asked for an extension of time on the right to charge a 7 cent fare until December 31st, 1918. After a general discussion of the matter the meeting adjourned. Town Clerk.
