HomeMy WebLinkAbout1918_07_15 Town Board Minutes PUBLIC MEETING of the Joint Town Board. and Residents of the Town of Mamaroneck held at the Weaver Street School house , On July l5th , 1918 at 8: 30 P.M.. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton, all members of the Board being present. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, Supervisor Burton was elected Chairman, and George B. Dudley Secretary. The Secretary read the call of the meeting, of which due notice had been given. Upon motion the same was approved . The Supervisor stated to the meeting wbat had been done by the Board in connection with the Sewer matter to date and re- ferred to the conference which had been held with the Village Trustees of Larchmont and with certain officials in Albany. He further stated that the matter was now in a position where it must be acted upon by the people of the Town who would be affected and who were in- terested. The Supervisor introduced Mr. VanEtten the engineer, who submitted detailed maps and outlined the entire plan as proposed . A number of the residents were heard. It was the sense of the meeting that the Board should proceed with the plan and have petitions prepared for signature. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was RESOLVED that the Board imandiately proceed to have peti- tions prepared, that the same be circulated by residents, and the necessary consents obtained for establishing the proposed sewer dis- trict and outlet. On motion Mr. Marshall was appointed Chairman of a Committee to obtain signatures . There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Secretary.
