Minutes of a Meeting of the Joint Town Board
held June 10, 1918.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton, and
the Clerk reported the following present: Justices Collins, Boyd,
Dudley and Shafer, John Hickey, Superintendent of Highways, J. C .
Fairchild, Town Clerk, Ralph. A. Gamble , counsel.
Upon notion duly made, seconded and carried it was
RESOLVED, that the minutes of previous meetings not yet
approved, be dispensed with.
The Clerk reported that no communications had been re-
ceived.
The Report of the Superintendent of Highways for the month
of May was read, and upon motion ordered to take its regular course ,
and is as follows :

Gentlemen:
I hereby report the following .cork on highways since the
last regular Joint Meeting Fernwood Road, consisting of a light
coating of 3/4 inch stone, some rolled with a 12 ton steam roller ,
36 ft . of iron pipe, 6 inch layed at the intersection of Weaver
St . and Fernwood Road, spread a light coat of 3/4 inch stone on
Myrtle Boulevard from Myrtle Ave. to lake, graded and repaired
Palmer Lane . Repaired Murray Ave and Myrtle Ave . with 1/4 inch stone
and tarvia B; unloaded 2 cars of cinders 82 cubic yards from New
York New Haven and Hartford R. R, Co; cleaned all Catch Basins .

Superintendent Hickey reported two large trees on Palmer
Lane in Larchmont Gardens were within the highway line.
Upon motion duly made , seconded and carried, it was
RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Highways present this
matter to the Larchmont Gardens Association seeking their recommen-
dation to have the same removed.
Justice Collins , as Chairman , of the Committed appointed
to take up the matter of the petition of the residents of Larchmont
Gardens and Myrtle Avenue we in relation to the installation of gas
mains In this district, read a letter from F . A. Stratton, President
of the Westchester Lighting Company .
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor together with Counsel be
authorized and directed to reply to the communication from the
Westchester Lighting Co . dated May 15, 1918 with reference to ex-
tension of gas mains into Larchmont Gardens; and
RESOLVED that the Supervisor be authorized and directed
to communicate with the Larchmont Gardens Association concerning
the action of the Board in conjunction with the reply from the
Westchester Lighting Co. on this subject .
On motion the meeting adjourned .
