the following Local Law shall apply to the Unincorporated Area of the Town of
!--!amaron eek.
All takeoff's and landings of helicopters or other aircraft from other than
approved areas are prohibited within the Unincorporated Area of the Town of
Mamaroneck.
The hovering of helicopters so as to discharge or accept passengers is prohibited
7,.ithin the Unincorporated Area of the Town of 'Mamaroneck.
The discharging or accepting of a passenger from or into a hovering helicopter
within the Unincorporated Area of the Town of Mamaroneck is prohibited.
violation of this Local Law shall be a misdemeanor.
A violation of this Local Law shall be punishable as follows:
-A. —A person found guilty may be- sentenced to thirty (30) days in
jail or a fine of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or both, for
a first offense.
B. A person found guilty of violating this Local Law a second time
may be sentenced to up to sixty (60) days in jail or fined up
to One Thousand Dollars or both,
C. A person found guilty of a third violation and subsequent
violations of this Local Law may be sentenced up to one hundred
twenty (120) days in jail or fined up to Two Thousand Dollars
($2,000.00), or both.
D. As provided in §80.00 and §80.05 of the 'Penal Law of the State
of New York, in lieu of the foregoing schedule of fines, a
fine equal to two (2) 'Limes the profit made as a result of
such prohibited landing, takeoff or hovering, nay be imposed.

Emergency landings are exempt from this Local Law. However, in the event of
an emergency landing, no movement of the helicopter or other aircraft may be
made or permitted until suet, time as an administrative authority designated
by the Town Council has approved the movement of the helicopter or other
aircraft.
The invalidity of any section, provision or portion of this Local Law shall
not invalidate any other section, provision or remaining portion thereof.
This Local Law shall take effect immediately as provided by and pursuant to
the Laws of the State of New York.
