HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991_10_9_Local_Law_No_12 { LOCAL LAW - 1991 FIRE SAFETY ZONES Section 1. Purpose: The Purpose of this law is to establish fire safety zones within the Town of Mamaroneck pursuant to authority under the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. §2. Safety Zones Designated: The following locations shall be designated as fire safety zones based upon the recomerdation of the Chief of the Fire Department. Markings and signage shall be installed by the property owner in accordance with New York State regulations within sixty (60) days notice of designation from the Town Building Department or Fire ant. 1350 Boston Post Road (presently Manufacturers Hanover Trust ccopany) . Connencing at the New York State right-of-way at the front entrance of the building for a distance of 50 feet from the right-of-way Northeast into the property, 20 feet wide. 1330 Boston Post Road (presently Eastchester Savings Bank) . At the north entrance to the building 20 feet wide and a distance of 50 feet along the east face of the building. 1330 Boston Post Road (presently Finast) . The entire Weaver Street side of the building face, by 20 feet wide. 1226 Boston Post Road (presently Village Square Shopping center) . 268 feet along the entire length of the east frontage of the buildings 20 feet wide; and for 10 feet on either side of the Siamese connection located at the southeast retaining wall fronting Boston Post Road. 250 Murray Avenue (presently Murray Avenue School) . 400 feet of Daymon Terrace along the rear of the building; and 400 feet of Murray Avenue along the front of the building. 2 Fairway Drive (presently Saxon Woods country School) . The entire circular driveway in front of the school at the Fairway Drive entrance/exit. 2 Madison Avenue (presently Clocktowar Building) . On Myrtle Blvd for 10 feet on each side of the Siamese connection. 2434 Boston Post Road (presently High Tech Car Wash) . Commencing at the New York State right-of-way at the north entrance of the property for a distance of 50 feet frcm the right-of-way on Boston Post Road northeast into the property, 20 feet wide. 2417 Boston Post Road (presently Augie's Restaurant) . Co nencing at the New York State right-of-way at the entrance along the northeast side of the building for a distance of 30 feet from the right-of-way southeast into the property, 20 feet wide. 1299 Palmer Avenue apartments. Entrance driveway on the Southwest side of the building and the entire circle at the southwest entrance of the building. Winged Foot Country Club - Fenimore Road. The entire circular driveway at the north, main entrance to the clubhouse and the circular driveway in front of the east, grill door of the clubhouse. Bonnie Briar Country Club - Weaver Street. The entire circular driveway located at the front entrance of the clubhouse. §3. Prohibition: Parking is hereby prohibited in any of the areas designated as fire safety zones. §4. Towing: Any vehicle parked or left unattended in any fire safety zone may be removed and stored at the owner's expense. §5. Exemptions: Emergency vehicles shall be exempt from the provisions of this local law. §6. Violation: Any violation of this local law shall be a violation punishable by a fine of no more than $250.00. Summonses for violations of this local law may be issued by the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department or the Torun of Mamaroneck Building Inspector. V. Severability: Should any provision of this law be declared invalid by a court of caanpetent jurisdiction, such declaration of invalidity shall not affect any other provision of this local law. §8. Effective Date: This local law shall become effective immediately. 1
