This Local Law shall Amend Local Law No. 4 of 1979 entitled "Animals."
Section 1. Purpose:
The purpose of this local law shall be to increase the administrative fees
paid to the Town Clerk for issuance of dog licenses, in order to cover the
( cost of processing such licenses which costs have increased since the fees
were last fixed in 1979.
Section 2. Licensing of Dogs; Fees:
Section 6-12 is hereby amended by increasing the fee set forth in subdivision
B (1) from five ($5) dollars to seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) and by
increasing the fee set forth in subdivision B (2) from ten ($10) dollars to
twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12.50) .
Section 3. Severability:
Should any provision of this local law be declared illegal or unconstitutional
by a court of competent jurisdiction, such declaration shall not effect any
other provision of this local law which may be otherwise implemented and
enforced.
Section 4. Effective Date:
This local law shall take effect immediately.
