HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004_10_22_Local_Law_No_14 Local Law No. 14 - 2004 This local law shall be known as the "Stop Signs on Huguenot Drive and Rochelle Road" Law. BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck Section 1 - Purpose: The purpose of this local law is to regulate traffic at the intersection of Huguenot Drive and Rochelle Road and at the intersection of Huguenot Drive and Mountain Avenue. Section 2 - Regulation of traffic on Huguenot Drive: A. Vehicles traveling in either direction on Huguenot Drive shall come to a full stop on Huguenot Drive at the point where Huguenot Drive intersects with Rochelle Road. B. Vehicles traveling north on Huguenot Drive shall come to a full stop on Huguenot Drive at the point where Huguenot Drive intersects Mountain Avenue. Section 3 - Regulation of traffic on Rochelle Road: Vehicles traveling west on Rochelle Road shall come to a full stop on Rochelle Road at the point where Rochelle Road intersects with Huguenot Drive. Section 4 - Sims to be Erected: A. An appropriate sign or signs shall be erected on Huguenot Drive facing the northbound traffic thereon and another appropriate sign or signs shall be erected on Huguenot Drive facing the southbound traffic thereon. Such sign or signs shall be erected at the corners formed by the intersection of Huguenot Drive and Rochelle Road. B. An appropriate sign or signs shall be erected on Huguenot Drive facing the northbound traffic thereon. Such sign or signs shall be erected at the corners formed by the intersection of Huguenot Drive and Mountain Avenue. C. An appropriate sign or signs shall be erected on Rochelle Road facing the westbound traffic thereon. Such sign or signs shall be erected at the corners formed by the intersection of Rochelle Road and Huguenot Drive. Section 5 - Severability: Should any provision of this Local Law be declared invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such declaration of unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of this Local Law, which may be implemented without the invalid or unconstitutional provisions. Section 6 - Effective Date: This Local Law shall become effective upon filing with the Secretary of State.
