This local law shall be known as the "First Amendment to the Notification Procedures Law"
Law BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck
Section 1 -Purpose:
On February 16, 2005, the Town Board enacted Local Law No.2-2005 entitled the Notification
Procedures Law. This law is scheduled to go into effect on March 31, 2005. Among other things,
the law requires the Town Board to establish specifications for the sign that applicants will need
to post as part of the notification procedure. In order to discuss and establish those specifications,
the Town Board will need to obtain and review samples of signs used in other communities. That
process will require a certain amount of time and therefore to afford the Town Board the proper
time to study the issue properly, this law extends the effective date of Local Law No. 2- 2005.
Section 2-Amendment of a section of Local LawNo.2-2005:
Section 11 of the Local Law No. 2-2005 is repealed and the following substituted in its place:
"Section 11 -Effective Date:
Local Law No.2-2005 shall become effective on April 30, 2005 if it is filed with the Secretary of
State prior to that date."
Section 3 -Severabili ty:
Should any provision of this Local Law be declared invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such declaration of unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any
other provisions of this Local Law, which may be implemented without the invalid or
unconstitutional provisions.
Section 4-Effective Date:
This Local Law shall become effective upon filing with the Secretary of State.
