OF THE ONECK HELD ON THE 23RD DAY OF JUNE 1992 AT 8:25 AM IN
CONFERENCE ROOM A OF THE TOWN CENTER, 740 W. BOSTON POST ROAD,
MAMARONECK, NEW YORK
CONVENE REGULAR MEETING
The Special Meeting of the Town Board was called to order by Supervisor Silverstone at 8:25
AM, at which time on motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was declared adjourned into
an Executive Session to discuss negotiations.
Present were the following members of the Board.
Supervisor Caroline Silverstone
Councilwoman Elaine Price
Councilwoman Kathleen Tracy O,Flinn
Councilman Paul A. Ryan
Also present were:
Stephen V. Altieri, Town Administrator
Steven M. Silverberg, Town Counsel
The Town Board, on motion of Councilwoman O'Flinn, seconded by Councilman Ryan,
adjourned back to the Special Meeting so that a vote could be taken on the creation of the
Housing Authority, and the endorsement of Home Rule Legislation to be sent to both Senator
Oppenheimer and Assemblyman Tocci.
RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING
Supervisor Silverstone called the meeting to order at 8:45 AM in Conference Room A.
The Supervisor explained that the purpose of this meeting was to vote on the question of home
rule legislation which would create a Housing Authority in the Town, whose function would be to
make decisions about the affordable housing proposed construction and to oversee the day to
day operations of the project.
On motion of Councilwoman Price, seconded by Councilman Ryan, it was unanimously
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck
does hereby endorse Senate Bill No. 7096 and Assembly Bill
No. 9648, which is an act to create a housing authority in the
Town of Mamaroneck; and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby name the
above the "Town of Mamaroneck Housing Authority"; and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the senate and assembly be urged to amend
the public housing law in relation to the creation of the
housing authority.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion of Councilman Ryan, seconded by Councilwoman O'Flinn the special meeting was
adjourned at 9:05 AM
