Ms. Duchi would receive an annual salary of $62,788, effective no later than November 6, 2023. Action Requested: Resolved that the Town Board hereby approves the appointment of Grecia Duchi to the position of Recreation Assistant at an annual salary of $62,788, effective not later than November 6,2023. This position is vacant at the Senior Center due to a recent resignation and is reflected in the 2023 budget. If appointed, Ms. Duchi would be required to serve a fifty-two (52)week probationary period. After interviewing candidates, Ms. Duchi was selected based upon her prior work experience at a senior living facility and possesses the skills and knowledge that are needed to work with seniors. In her current position she is responsible for the operations at the senior living facility, including events and programs, recruiting, researching and scheduling activities and overseeing the transportation services. As a Recreation Assistant her duties would consist of assisting with maintaining the nutrition programs and grants associated Senior Center services, peer place data entry, taking meal reservations, generating monthly and annual reports and monthly bills. In addition, she would assist with the transportation services that are offered, implement daily senior programming, events and trips that meet the needs, interests and abilities of seniors. According to Jill Fisher, Superintendent of Recreation, Ms. Duchi's background working at a Residential Living Facility for Senior Citizens for the past 6 years has provided her with a vast amount of experience working with seniors on a day-to-day basis. As a result of her professionalism and attributes, she advanced during her tenure from a Program Instructor to being appointed the Director of the Engage Life Program. Ms. Duchi comes with not only the experience we are looking for but with the passion and eagerness we are seeking as part of our team. Page 3 of 3
