6:00 PM Minutes of March 10, 2015 Meeting Approved
The Collaborative offered special congratulations to Tony Gelber on the completion of his Chairmanship of
the Collaborative, noting our thanks for his leadership and guidance of the Collaborative from its inception
and establishment of the Collabroative as an official body
of the Town of Mamaroneck. Thank you Tony!
6:05 PM Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) Program presentation and discussion with Mike
Gordon and Javier Bouvios
Mike and Javier presented the Community Choice Aggregation Concept (see pdf of their presentation,
attached). Given the Round 1 deadline at the end of May, next steps seem to be: TOM will further study
interests of TOM
residents; CCA is requested to prepare a simple, clear and direct presentation of the concept so that TOM
can use this document for both internal discussions and outreach education for residents; the Collaborative
will formulate recommendations as to what types of energy sources we might recommend TOM to
purchase which will support our overall goals for a more resilient and sustainable Mamaroneck.
6:50 PM Green Steps Expo Report Michele L, Steve M, others
Collaborative members reported that the Expo was well attended and that our initiative for a Walk-able,
Bike-able Mamaroneck received considerable interest and support. One Lesson Learned for future events
was to ensure that Collaborative-related efforts could all be co-located, which would increase their mutual
inter-connectedness, benefit, and enable Collaborative members to efficiently support all of our activities.
Thank you to all of the Collaborative members who participated!
6:55 PM Solarize Larchmont-Mamaroneck Report Frank O
The Solarize Campaign continues, with some success and with some concerns for the ability of Sunrise
residential contracts signed, but there are over 160 leads outstanding in need of action. The Commercial
Kick-off event has been postponed to May 6 to give the team time for more personalized and direct
approaches to prospective candidates.
