HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923_02_27 Town Board Minutes Meeting of the Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK held February 27th, 1923. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 9 P.M. PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd and Dudley. Town Clerk Sherman. Upon motion it was VOTED to dispense with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved. Supervisor Burton reported that upon the instructions of this Board he had arranged a conference with Nathan L. Miller Esq., relating to his employment as special counsel for the Town of Mamaroneck in the litigation with the New York Inter Urban Water Company before the Court of Appeals of the State of New York. He reported that Mr. Miller had stated that he would be pleased to represent the Town of Mamaroneck if the case could be postponed for two or three days as he had already arranged an appointment for the day of the hearing, namely Feb. 26th. Supervisor Burton then reported that the matter was taken up with the Counsel for the New York Inter Urban eater Com- pany and that he had refused to agree to the granting of an adjournment. The Supervisor also reported that the Board of Super- visors are working on the State and County budget and he asked that when we adjourned, we adjourn to meet on Saturday March 3rd, at 2 P.M. to take up the question of the adoption of the budget. Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 9.30 P.M. Frederick M. Sherman Town Clerk.
