HomeMy WebLinkAbout1922_11_15 Town Board Minutes Meeting of the Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK, held, November 15th, 1922. The meting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 9.00 P.M. PRESENT: Supervisor Burton, Justices Boyd, Collins, Dudley and Shafer, Town Clerk Sherman, Counsellor Gamble. The minutes of the meetings of October 25th and November 1st, 1922, were read and upon motion approved. The report of the Receiver of Taxes for the month of October, 1922, was received, read, ordered placed on file and is as follows: November 1st,1922. McGivney, Receiver of Taxes. The report of the Building Commission for the month of October was received and read showing 19 permits issued and fees collected amounting to $124.00. The report was ordered noted in the minutes and placed on file. The report of the Police Department for the month of October was received and read showing 59 arrests and fines amounting to $1,020.00. Same was ordered noted in the minutes and placed on file. The report of the Town Clerk for the month of October was received and read showing licenses issued and fees collected amounting to $30. 31. The report was ordered noted in the minutes and placed on file. Supervisor Burton reported progress in the matter of the mandamus proccedings to compel the New York Inter Urban Water Company to lay the extensions of the water mains. He also reported that Committees from different municipalities will meet in the near future to take up the water situation and asks that this Board appoint a Committee to represent the Town. Upon motion, duly seconded, it was VOTED, that Supervisor Burton be authorized and empowered to appoint a Committee to confer with other municipalities and take up the water situation affecting their respective communities. The Supervisor thereupon appointed the following Committee: Supervisor Burton, Justices Boyd and Collins and Town Clark Sherman. Counsel reports progress in relation to the petition for the purchase of a Hook and Ladder motor apparatus. The Clerk was requested to prepare a copy of the proceedings of this Board for each member and upon motion duly seconded, it was upon ROLL CALL unanimously VOTED, that commencing January 1st, the Clerk be and he hereby is auth- orized and empowered to purchase folders and have the proceedings of the Board prepared for the members and that the cost thereof be made a proper Town charge. The Clerk brought to the attention of the Board the condition of the records at the Town Hall and upon motion, duly seconded, it was upon ROLL CALL unanimously VOTED, that the Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to have the records at the Town Hall put in proper shape and that the cost thereof be made a proper town charge.
