BOARD OF ARCHICETURAL REVIEW
December 19, 2016
Roll Call.
Present: Edward Jacobson, Chairman, Donald Meeker, Diane Neff, Joseph Shein.
Absent/Excused: Ken Ricci, Abby Katz, Town Board Liaison.
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 8:00PM
1. 2444 Boston Post Road Balance Yoga & Wellness
Dan with East Coast signs and the applicant Dave Frost addressed the Board.
Mr. Frost stated he and his wife recently purchased the establishment to provide their customers with
balance in life. Their logo and sign design was a collaborative effort between himself and his wife, the
green symbolizes health and vitality.
The Board discussed the proposed signs
Mr. Meeker stated that the pylon structure has been struck and is twisted, the landlord needs to fix or
replace the pylon structure, and he asked that the Building Inspector formally send the land lord notice.
Materials, letter size and depth as well as color was discussed.
Mr. Meeker stated the letter forms are very delicate and suggested double thickness of the stroke.
Dan stated the logo colors are black and green, Mr. Meeker stated he would not mix colors.
Mr. Jacobson suggested the diamond pattern should be filled in with green to make it pop.
The sign on the building and the pylon lettering should be consistent.
The Board asked the applicant to come back with plans showing their suggestions.
The Board would like to see
Double stroke lettering
The sign on the building is boxy needs lightness
The letter spacing may be a little too tight it should be walked out
A sample of the lime green color
Th pylon diamond pops but can’t be replicated on the building without a white background.

The thickness of the lettering should be thinner.
Just an elevation plan not a forced perspective.
Material and fabrication of the lettering was discussed.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion of Ms. Neff, seconded by Mr. Shein the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
