BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
MONDAY September 19, 2011

CALL TO ORDER at 8:00p.m.
Roll Call.
Present: Edward Jacobson, Chairman, Ken Ricci, Donald Meeker, Ronald Carpaneto, Director of
Building (Not voting), Ernest Odierna, Liaison (Not voting).
Absent/Excused: Diane Neff.
BLD Diner 2399 Boston Post Road Sign and Landscaping
Gene Koutsoras, the owner and Jeff Trell of the Acme Sign Company addressed the Board. They stated
that the signage is already in place and the internally illuminated signs have no power running to them.
The Board discussed the signage that is already in place, stating the graphics must be removed from the
glass window, internally illuminated signage is not allowed by code and the applicant should go before
the Zoning Board of Appeals to request a variance to illuminate the signage. The size of the letters,
pylon shape and material were discussed. The Board stated that letters on the building should be
smaller, and recommended that the monument sign be oval.
The Landscaping plan was discussed and approved, the applicant is to give a layout planting plan to the
Building Department for the file.
Mr. Odierna spoke.

On motion duly made the meeting was adjourned at 9:30p.m.
