MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK
FEBRUARY 21, 2008, IN THE SENIOR CENTER, TOWN CENTER
740 WEST BOSTON POST ROAD, MAMARONECK, NEW YORK
Present: Edward Z. Jacobson, Chairman
Andrew D. Fredman
Doris Erdman
Absent: Donald Meeker
Ronald A. Carpaneto, Director of Building
Recording Secretary; Francine M. Brill
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Jacobson called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes were postponed.
Chairman Jacobson read the application as follows.
CAPITAL ONE BANK 1370 BOSTON POST ROAD
Kathy O’Brian from Sign Crafters appeared and addressed the Board. Ms O’Brian
stated that Capital One Bank plans to convert all branches March 7, 8, 9, and that all
they are requesting at present is the sign not the lighting. Ms. O’Brian stated that an
electrician will appear before the Board to get the lighting approval.
The Board discussed the application changes, and approved the application as
submitted February 21, 2008.
1. The Board approved the February 25, 2008 plans as submitted except
for the following changes.
A. The bottom of the sign is to be located at the same elevation
on the front and side of the building.
B. The lighting has not been approved, an electrician will submit
separately.
NEW BUSINESS
Edward Jacobson stated that his predecessor Bob Wassman passed away. Mr.
Wassman in addition to being a naval hero had been a great mentor to the Board.
MINUTES
The minutes of February 15, 2007, July 19, 2007, and August 16, 2007 were approved
with corrections.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Board of Architectural Review will be held on March 20, 2008.
ADJOURNMENT
Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was unanimously adjourned.
