Andrew Tung addressed the Board and explained the changes in the application regarding the
ramp, square opening vs. arch openings, flat stair roofs and lighter colored tiles for the stair
roofs.
After some discussion the Board had the following comments and concerns.
1) The new rendering was fine as far as the roof design and color.
2) The Board felt strongly that the choice of the exterior finishes, namely the precast,
concrete was not a good choice. The Board expressed the opinion that this is an
important project and would be a reflection on the community for years to come.
The Board felt strongly that the finishes on the exterior should be brick. This will
match most of the surrounding apartment buildings and be in better keeping with the
neighborhood. The Board asked the applicant to return next month September 7,
2006 with new renderings showing brick finishes.
