TOWN OF MAMARONECK,
held, April 29th, 1921,
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 8.30 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices Boyd, Collins, Dudley and Shafer,
Deputy Clerk Sherman,
Counsellor Gamble.
The minutes of the meeting of April 20th, 1921 was
read and upon action approved.
Mr. John Fitzgerald appeared and addressed the Board
in relation to operating a bus line in the Town of Mamaroneck
from the Boston and Westchester Station to the Railroad Station
in the Village of Mamaroneck. The matter was laid over for
consideration.
Mr. Decker appeared in relation to an increase in
salary for the Special Police of the Town of Mamaroneck where-
upon the following resolution was offered by Justice Dudley
and seconded by Justice Shafer;
RESOLVED, that the salary of Captain
Decker he increased from $125.00 per
month to $150.00 per month, said in-
crease to be effective May 1st, 1921,
and it was further
RESOLVED, that the salaries of Offic-
ers Poschen and Cullen be increased
from $125.00 to $135.00 per month
said increase to be effective May 1st,
1921, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and
he is hereby authorized and empowered
to pay said salaries semi-monthly as
as proper Town charges against the
unincorporated section of the Town.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution
same was upon ROLL CALL unanimously carried.
The agreement between the Town of Mamaroneck and H.J.
Brewer providing for the laying of a drain across the land of
the latter was presented by the Supervisor and upon motion duly
seconded, it was
RESOLVED, THAT the action of the Super-
visor and the Town Clerk in executing
on behalf of the Town of Mamaroneck an
agreement heretofore submitted on March
25th, 1921, between the Town and H.J.
Brewer providing for the construction
and maintenance of a drain by the Town
across the premises of said H.J. Brewer
to wit; lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 43, 44, 45
and 46 in block 427 on certain map en-
titled "Plan of lots called Larchmont
Gardens" situated in the Town of Mamaro-
neck, County of Westchester, State
of New York, filed in the offfice of
the Register of Westchester County
September 11th, 1911 as map # 1949
be and the same is hereby in all
respects ratified, approved and con-
firmed.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was declared adopted.
The Supervisor reported that the Sewer Commissioners,
were to appear at Albany in relation to the proposed change of
sewer outlet and upon motion duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and
he hereby is authorized and empowered
to appear at Albany with the Sewer
Commissioners before the State Board
of Health and the Conservation Comm-
ission in relation to the proposed
change of Sewer outlet.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was upon ROLL CALL carried.
The matter of the publication of the tax sale list was
taken up and after discussion it was
RESOLVED, that the publication of the
tax sale list be published in the
Mamaroneck Paragraph in the manner as
provided by Law.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was upon ROLL CALL adopted, the Board voting as follows:
AYES: Messrs, Burton, Collins. Dudley, Shafer and Sherman.
NAYS: Boyd
Upon the recommendation of the Committee of the Towl Hall
it was
RESOLVED, That the Supervisor and Town
Clerk be and they hereby are authorized
and empowered to purchase 140 seats for
the Town Hall at a price of $3.90 per
sitting, same to be deliversd F. O. B. at
the Town Hall.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was upon ROLL CALL, unanimously carried.
The following resolution was offered by Justice Shafer
and seconded by Justice Collins;
RESOLVED, that the Mamaroneck Paragraph
be and hereby is designated to publish
the Supervisor's financial report for the
year ended Dec. 28th, 1920 and that the cost
thereof be made a proper Town charge.
The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution,
same was upon ROLL CALL unanimously adopted.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11.15 P.M.
