HomeMy WebLinkAbout1921_03_25 Town Board Minutes Meeting of the Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK held, March 25th, 1921. The meeting was called to order by Justice Boyd at 9 P.M. PRESENT: Justice Boyd, Collins and Shafer Deputy Clerk Sherman, Counsellor Gamble. The minutes of the meetings of February 16th, February 26th, and March 5th, 1921 were separately read and upon motion approved. The report of the Receiver of Taxes for the month of February, 1921 was received, read ordered placed on file and is as follows- March 1st, 1921. Palmer Howell. Receiver of Taxes. The report of the Town Clerk for the month of February 1921, was received, read, ordered placed on file and is as follows: Hon. Geo. W. Burton, Supervisor .Town of Mamaroneck, Mamaroneck, New York. I herewith report the amount of fees collected in the Town Clerk' s office for the month of February, 1921 as follows: Dog licenses issued 7 $1.75 Lost tags " 1 .25 Hunting licenses " 9 .90 Marriage " " 3 3.00 Chattels filed 26 3.12 blank forms for the collection of ashes and garbage 5.00 i Total, $14.02 Respectfully submitted, sgn. The report of the Supervisor for the month ending February 28th, 1921 was received, read, ordered placed on file and is as follows: March 1st, 1921. Gentlemen: Permit me to submit herewith my financial statement for the month ending Fabuary 28th, 1921, viz:- Balance on hand Februury 1st, $27,439.06 Deposited by the Receiver of taxes, $2,570.87 Received from Wm. A. Boyd, fines, 45.00 " " F.P.Shaler, " 25.00 " " P.H. Collins, " 30.00 " " Town Clerk, fees 29.10 " " Westchestar Lighting Co . deposit for opening streets, 100.00 Received from Valentine F. Geo W. Burton, Supervisor. The Police report for the month of February, 1921 showing lights out for 20 days and five arrests with fines of $75.00 was received, read and ordered placed on file. A communicution with tariff attached was received from the Public Service Commission, Second District in relation to schedule of fares on the New York, Boston and Westchester. Same was ordered received and placed on file. The following comnunication was received from the family of Mr. William F. Dudley which was ordered spread upon the minutes. March 22nd, 1921. Honorable Town Board, Town of Mamaroneck and Mr. Geo. W. Burton, Supervisor and Members of the Town Board. Gentlemen: May I thank you on behalf of my family and myself for your very kind expressions of sympathy for my dearly beloved son Harry. The memory of the honors bestowed will remain with us forever and that fate may deal kindly with you all is the earnest prayer of William F. Dudley and Family The communication was placed on file. Mr. H. J. Brewer presented an agreement between himself and the Town of Mamaroneck in relation to a drain running across his property. Same was ordered received and referred to Counsel for his approval and if approved by him to prepare the necessary resolution in relation to same.
