HomeMy WebLinkAbout1921_03_05 Town Board Minutes Meeting of the Town Board TOWN OF MAMARONECK Held March 5th, 1921. PRESENT: Supervisor Burton, Justices Boyd, Dudley and Collins, Deputy Clerk Sherman. The reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved are dispensed with. The following resolution was offered by Justice Dudley and seconded by Justice Collins: RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of Westchester County be requested to estimate for the Town of Mamaroneck the probable revenue which would be credited to such town by reason of the income tax: and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to file with the Board of Supervisors of West- chester County a certified copy of this resolution. The question being taken upon the foregoing resolution same was declared adopted by the following vote . AYES: Messrs Burton, Boyd, Collins, Dudley and Sherman. NAYS: None. The following resolution was offered by Justice Boyd and seconded by Justice Collins: RESOLVED, that there be levied and assessed upon the taxable property of the Town of Mamaroneck and collected the sum of Nine Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Five Dollars and Thitty Six Cents () to pay certificate of indebtedness issued against unpaid School taxes year 1920 and when zu collected, deposited to the credit of the Town of vararonech. The question being taken uponthe forgoing resolution, same was declared adopted by the folliwng vote. AYES: hassrs Burton, Boyd, Collins, Dudley and Sherman< NAYS: None. A communication was received from Peter yelson,resign- ing as Constable of the Town of lamaroneck same to tale affect as of Karch 5th, ly2l. Upon motion duly seconded the resignation was accepted. A communication was received from the Business Men's Associstion of Mamaroneck in relation to furnishing ad- equate seating arrangements for public meetings at the Town Hall. Upon motion same was referred to the Committee on Town Hall and the Clerk was instructed to reply to same. Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 5.00 P.M. John C. Fairchild Town Clerk Deputy Clerk.
