TOWN OF MAMARONECK
held, February 26th, 1921.

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
3.30 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices, Boyd, Collins, Dudley and Shafer,
Deputy Clerk Sherman.
Upon Motion it was voted that the reading of minutes
not yet approved be dispensed with.
The Supervisor presented the budget for the year 1921
Same was read and duly considered and upon notion, seconded
and carried it was
RESOLVED, that the budget for the year
1921 as presented by the Supervisor be
and the same is hereby approved, and
it was further
RESOLVED, that said budget be spread
upon the minutes and is as follows:
BUDGET OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK
FOR THE YEAR 1921.
First; Resolved that there be levied and assessed upon the
taxable property of the Town of Mamaroneck, and collected, the
following amounts for the purposes hereinafter set forth to wit:
a. To pay the salary of the Supervisor under the
Westchester County Tax Act, $2, 500.00
b. To pay the salary of the Clerk to the
Supervisor, 1,000. 00
c . To pay the salary of the Receiver of Taxes 4, 200.00
d. To pay the salary of the 3 Assessors, 4,700.00
e . To pay the salary of the Overseer of the Poor 1,200.00
f . To Nay the salary of the Town Clerk, 3,000.00
j. To pay the salary of the Janitress, 600.00
h. To pay the rent of Court Rooms of the
Justices of the Peace, 1,140.00
i . To ray for the temporary support of the poor, 5,000.00
j . To pay assessment map bond #7, 1,000.00
k. To pay interest on $4,000.00 assessment
map bonds, @ 5%, 200.00
l. To pay allowances to Larchmont Public Wealth
Association and Child's Welfare Station, 1,200.00
m. To pay Voting viachine bond #1, 360. 00
n. To gray interest on Voting machine bonds
$7,000,00 @ 6%, 420.00
Total Town at large, $26,720. 00
OUTSIDE OF THE VILLAGES OF LARCHMONT AND MAMARONECK.
Second, Resolved that there be levied and assessed upon the
taxable property of the Town of Mamaroneck lying outside the
corporate limits of the Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck
and collected, and when collected, deposited to the credit
of the Town of Mamaroneck, the following amounts for the pur-
poses hereinafter set forth, to wit:
a. To pay Boston Post Road bond #12, issue
of May 1, 1907, $1,000.00
b. To pay interest on Boston Post Road bonds, 25.00
c . To pay Murray Ave. improvement bond #4
issue of Sept. 1, 1910, 1,000.00
d. To pay interest on Murray Ave . imp. bonds, 255.00
e . To pay Murray Ave. completion bond #6
issue of 1911, 1,000.00
f . To pay interest on Murray Ave completion bond, 405.00
g. To pay Boston Post Road improvement bond #7
issue of June 1, 1912, 2,000.00
h. To pay interest on Boston Post Road bonds, 855. 00
i . To pay interest on Chatsworth Ave improvement
bond's, issue of Sept. 1, 1913, 500.00
j . To pay Sidewalk bond #3 issue of Sept, 1913, 1,000. 00
k. To pay interest on Sidewalk improvement bonds , 325.00
l. To pay Sidewalk bond #3 issue of Sept, 1914, 1,000.00
m. To pay interest on Sidewalk bonds, issue
of Sept 1, 1914, 100.00
n. To pay for the preservation of Peace, 7,500.00
o. To pay the salary of the Health Officer 500.00
- Total outside of villages $17,460.00
LIGHTING DISTRICT.
Third; Resolved that there be levied and assessed upon the
taxable property of the Town of Mamaroneck; lying within the
said lighting district of said Town, and collected, and when
collected deposited to the credit of the Town of Mamaroneck
the sum of Forty Five Hundred Dollars, to pay for the rental
of street lights for the year 1921.

Fourth; Resolved, that there be levied and assessed upon the
taxable property of the Town of Mamaroneck lying within Fire
District No.2 and collected, and when collected deposited to the
credit of the Town of Mamaroneck, the following amounts for
the purposes hereinafter set forth, to wit:
a. To pay Fire District bond Nos. 3 issue of
July 1, 1918 2,000.00
b. To pay interest on Apparatus bonds, 250.00
c . To pay for rental of Fire hydrants, 1,720.00
d. To pay for compensation Special Officers, 3,000. 00
e. To pay for the collection and disposal of
ashes, garbage, swill, etc, 3,000.00
f. To pay for supplies, equipment, maintenance
etc, of Fire apparatus and house, 500.00
g. To pay for supplies, equipment, maintenance
etc, Chatsworth quarters, 50.00
h , To pay for repairs, Weaver St. auxiliary, 200.00
Total Fire District No. 1 $10,720.00
FIRE DISTRICT NO. 2
Fifth: Resolved, that there be levied and assessed upon the
taxable propertyoof the Town of Mamaroneck lying within Fire
District No. 2 and collected, and when collected deposited to
the credit of the Town of Mamaroneck, the following amounts
for the purposes hereinafter set forth to wit,
a. To pay for the rental of Fire Hydrants, $90.00
b. To pay for the rental of Fire house, repairs
maintenance, equipment, etc ,Fire Co. No. 2 350.00
c . To pay for the collection and disposal of
ashes, garbage, swill, etc; 600.00
Total, Fire District No. 2. $1,240.00
The Supervisor reported that a hearing will be held
by the Tax Commission at Albany, New Vork in relation to tax
matters and upon motion duly seconded it was upon Roll Call
Voted, that the Supervisor together
with Assessors Maddock and Murray be
authorized and requested attend
the State conference and tax Comm-
ission hearing at Albany and that the
expenses incurred thereby be made a
proper Town charge. CARRIED.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned 5 P.M.
