June 16th, 1920
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at
9.15 P.M.

The minutes of the meeting of May 27th were read and
upon motion approved.
A communication from S. Masi & Son was received in re-
lation to repairs of the police motorcycle quoting a net cost
of $30.00
Upon motion by Justice Dudley,
seconded by Justice Boyd, it was
RESOLVED, that the repairs to
the motorcycle be given to S .Masi
& Son and that the same be made a
proper Town charge.
Upon roll call all members present voted in the affirmative
and the Supervisor declared the motion adopted.
The report of the Receiver of Taxes for the month of
May 1920 was received, read, ordered placed on file and is as
follows:

Town board of the Supervisor.
Town of Mamaroneck,
Mamaroneck, N.Y.
A petition was presented by Mr. Crimmins from the residents
of Myrtle Avenue in relation to gas service in that section. Same
was received, read, ordered placed on file and the Supervisor stated
that action would be taken upon this petit ion at this meeting.
Mr. W. E. Lyon Jr. was present and spoke of his action before
the Public Service Commission in relation to to the trolley mat-
ters, stating what had transpired at the hearings..
The Supervisor reported the condition of the tax arrears
in the office of the Receiver of Taxes and stated that the Town
Board should take some action in bringing the arrears up to date.
Mr. Hoeffner was present and spoke upon the same subject,
showing the benefits to be derived.
It was regularly moved and seconded
that the matter of Tax Arrears, be
referred to the Supervisor and that
he report back to this Board with
his recommendations.
A resolution was presented in relation to the Town Dock
property which upon motion same was referred to Counsellor Gamble
and that he report back to the Board.
The Supervisor reported that he appeared before the Public
Service Commission at Albany in relation to the trolley and gas
matters and it was their contention that the Town of Mamaroneck
ought to take action before them for service wanted.
The following resolution was offered by Justice Boyd and
seconded by Justice Collins;
RESOLVED, that Counsel be and he herey
is authorized, empowered and directed
to take the necessary steps, in behalf of
the Town of Mamaroneck, to make application
to the Public Service Commission, Second
District, to compel the laying and exten-
sion of gas mains by the Westchester Light-
ing Company in Myrtle Avenue, Larchmomt
Gardens, Woods of Larchmont and other sec-
tions of the Town heretofore requested.
Upon roll call all members present voted in the affirmative
The Supervisor thereupon declared the resolution adopted.
The following resolution was offered by Justice Dudley e ty
and seconded by Justice Collins.
WHEREAS, a request has been made on
behalf of the owner of Lot 10, Block
16, Section 9 in the Town of Mamaro-
neck, to have the assessment levied
against said lot which was in the
year 1927 assessed at $10,000, cor-
rected, and
WHEREAS, said lot has in previous
years and subsequent years to 1917,
been assessed at $1,000, and
WHEREAS, the Board of assessors have
reported to this Board that the cor-
rect assessment should have been
$1,000 , for the year 1917, that the
assessment of $10,000 is an error, and
WHEREAS, this has been confirmed by
the Receiver of Taxes, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Re-
ceiver of Taxes be, and they hereby are,
empowered to take the necessary steps
to correct the assessment on Lot 10
Block 16, Section 9, of the Town of
Mamaroneck, so that same shall be assess-
ed at $1,000, and the Receiver of Taxes
is hereby authorized and empowered to
note the said correction in his record
books, and be it
Further RESOLVED, that the Receiver of
Taxes be and he hereby is authorized and
empowered to accept from the owner of the
aforesaid lot the amount of taxes due for
the year 1917 figured on an assessed
valuation of $1,000, and to further re-
ceive penalties, cost of sale and adver-
tising to date of payment figured on said
amount of taxes found to be due on said
lot when the same has been assessed at
$1,000; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Receiver of
Taxes be, and he hereby is, authorized
and empowered to accept said sums of mon-
ey so found due in full payment of tax
for the year 1917.
Upon ROLL CALL all members present voted in the affirmative,
The Supervisor thereupon declared the resolution adopted,
Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 11.50 P.M.
