TOWN OF MAMARONECK
May 27th, 1920.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 9:00 P.M.

F.H.Sherman, Deputy Town Clerk.
The minutes of the meeting of May 17th, were read and
upon motion approved.
Upon motion duly seconded , it was
RESOLVED, that the regular order
of business be suspended and that those
present who wished to
address the meeting, be heard.
Mr. Marshall appeared on behalf of the residents of the
Chatsworth Heights Section and spoke of the goats and strays running
around, the drainage on Murray Avenue, the drainage on the Steiglitz
property, oil on the roads, and in relation to taxi fares.
The Supervisor stated that the Town Board will try to
stop the nuisances existing and the matter of drainage was referred
to the Superintendent of Highways.
Mr. Seimer was present on behalf of the Neighborhood Im-
provement Association and submitted a building code which,

was ordered filed temporarily with
the Town Clerk.
Mr.Brewer was present and spoke in reference to securing
Sewer Maps.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that Engineer Duffy be seen
in relation to the Sewer Maps and
that the matter be taken up with
Mr. Van Etten.
Mr. Denton of the Automatic Registering Machine Corp.
was present and submitted the form of contract for the purchase of
Voting machines.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
Voted that the contract be referred
to Counsel.
A communication was also received fmom the Automatic
Registering Machine Corp., stating that if the Town of Mamaroneck
desired to return one of the machines after election that they will
pay back to the Town, the sum paid for same less the cost of rental
which is $75.00. Communication ordered placed, on file.
Upon motion by Justice Shafer, seconded by Justice Boyd,
it was
RESOLVED, that the Town Board app-
ropriate the sum of $100 to the
Grand Army of the Republic, to be
used for the expenses for the Mem-
orial day services and that the
Auditors be requested to audit same
upon the presentation of the proper
voucher.
The Supervisor stated that he had received notice
from the State Tax Department of Albany requesting the appearance
of the Assessors before them at Albany.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
SOLVED, that the Supervisor and
one Assessor be authorized to att-
end the meeting at Albany and that
the some be made a proper Town charge.
Upon motion by Justice Boyd, seconded
by Justice Shafer, it was
RESOLVED, that hereafter this Board
meet on the First and third Wednesday
of every month at 8.30 P.M.
Estimates for the repairing of the Cemetary wall were
received from the following:
A.S. Faillace, $628.00
Jos. Dimando Inc. 485.00
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that the Supervisor be in-
structed to see that th work proc-
eed upon terms and conditions best
suitable to the Town.
On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11.00 P.M.
