Town of Mamaroneck
Held
January 26, 1920.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor
Burton at 9:15 P.M.
PRESENT: Supervisor Burton,
Justices Collins, Boyd, Schafer and
Dudley,
Deputy Clerk Sherman,
Ralph A. Gamble, Counsel.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that the reading of minutes of meet-
ings not yet approved be dispensed with.
The report of the Receiver of Taxes from December
1st to December 27th, 1919, inclusive, was received, read,
ordered filed and is as follows:

Pursuant to Section 23 of the Westchester County
Tax Law, I hereby resrectfully report the amount of
State, County, Town, School, Highway and Special Dis-
trict Taxes, together with the interest and penalties
thereon, collected by me during the month of December,
1919.

Mamaroneck, New York,
Communications from the Department of Farms and
Markets, dated December 1st and December 30th, 1919, together
with the Town Clerk's reply thereto, were received, read and
ordered placed on file.
Communication from Eben H. P. Squire regarding the
Lynch Bus Route was received, placed on file and the Clerk
was instructed to reply to the same.
Communication was received and read from Receiver
of Taxes, T. Palmer Howell, advising the Board of the appoint-
ment of Harry T. McGivney as Deputy Receiver of Taxes.
Upon motion duly seconded it was
VOTED, that the appointment of Harry T.
McGivney as Deputy Receiver of Taxes
be and the same hereby is approved.
Communication from The Weaver Street Fire Company,
together with the Supervisor's reply thereto, were received,
read and ordered filed with the Supervisor.
- The Highway bond of Supervisor Burton, in the sum
of $64,000.00 was presented, approved and endorsed by the
members of the Town Board.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that copies of said Highway bond
be forwarded to the State Highway Depart-
ment, the County Superintendent of High -
ways and that the original be filed with
the Town Clerk.
Supervisor Burton reported the receipt of the bond
of T. Palmer Howell as Receiver of Taxes in the sum of $20, 000.,
which bad been approved by Counsel as to sufficiency and form
as well as by the Supervisor.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that the same be filed with the
Town Clerk.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that the bonds of the following
Town Officers be approved in the amount
set opposite their respective names:

Supervisor Burton brought to the attention of the
Board the matter of advertising for bids for the collection
of ashes and garbage within the Fire District No. 1, which
contract expires on February 25, 1920.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that Counsel prepare the neces-
sary notice to bidders an connection
with the awarding of a new contract,
bids for same to be opened on February
16th, 1920, at 8:30 P.M., and it was
FURTHER VOTED, that said notice to Bid-
ders be published in The Larchmont Press,
Mamaroneck Paragraph and Richbell Press.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was
VOTED, that Counsel prepare and have
printed the form of uroposai and speci-
fications for the collection of ashes
and garbage for Fire District No. 1
of the Town of Mamaroneck, in such form
as may be approved by him.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
