held October 28, 1919.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at
8:45 P.M.
Present: Supervisor Burton; Justices Collins, Boyd, Dudley
and Shafer; and Ralph A. Gamble, Counsel.
Justice Dudley acted as Clerk.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was VOTED: That the reading
of minutes of previous meetings not yet approved be dispensed with.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was VOTED: That the regular
order of business be dispensed with, and that Messrs. Dougherty
and Jennings of Dillon Park who were present be heard. The
gentlemen stated that the matter upon which they appeared was to
urge the extension of Water Mains into the Dillon Park Section of
the Town.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was VOTED: That the Supervisor
appoint a Committee from the Town Board to work in conjunction with
a Committee of Residents of the Dillon Park Section of the Town of
Mamaroneck, and that these Committees confer with the Larchmont
Water Company and with the New Rochelle Water Company, and endeavor
to secure an adequate supply of water for Dillon Park.
Upon motion dulyy seconded, it was VOTED: That pursuant to
Section 301A, of the Election Law of the State of New York, the
following places are designated as Polling Places for the ensuing
General election to be held November 4th, 1919, to-wit:
1st District - Ramey Building, Mamaroneck Avenue
2nd District - Town Hall, Prospect Avenue;
3rd District - McMahon's Garage, Boston Post Road;
4th district - Weaver St. Wire Headquarters, Edgewood Road;
5th District - Larchmort Athletic Club, Boston Post Road;
6th District - Building on the northerly side of Post Road
between Mayhew and Beach Avenues, Larchmont,
N. Y.
and BE IT FURTER VOTED: That in accordance with Section 299 of
the Election Law the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to
publish proper election notices.
Uppon motion duly seconded, and upon Roll Call, it was
UNANIMOUSLY VOTED: That the compensation of Inspectors of Elec-
tion and General Clerks for Election Day be and the same hereby
is fixed at $16.00 each, and that such expense be allowed as a
proper Town charge.
Upon motion duly seconded, it was, upon Roll Call, UNANI-
MOUSLY VOTED: That the cost of providing a polling place for the
Sixth Election District, in accordance with the authority hereto-
fore given the Supervisor by this Board, located on the northerly
side of the Boston Post Road between Mayhew and Beach Avenues,
Larchmont, N. Y., be allowed as a proper Town charge, and that
statements therefor approved by the Supervisor be audited by the
Town Board of Auditors and paid accordingly. And it was FURTHER
VOTED: That the lease drawn by Counsel and entered into by the
Town officials for the use of the property on which the polling
place is located be and the same is hereby ratified, confirmed and
approved.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 9:55 P.M.
